Le Meridien Abu Dhabi 5*. Disappointed with the hotel, the location is decent, but the hotel itself is old, and the furniture is falling apart. We checked in on the 28th, asked to replace the non-working kettle for two days, and waited three days for the replacement of the non-working refrigerator. Had to argue a bit to get working equipment. The breakfasts are amazing. But I am disappointed. We will not come back again.
Hello everyone!❤️ I want to share my impressions of my vacation at Le Meridien Abu Dhabi 5*. I was there for a week with my daughter who is 2.9 years old. We had a great time, with many positives; I will try to list them: - Very convenient location. Close to the airport, many attractions, and amusement parks. - Service - most staff were very pleasant and friendly, any question was resolved quickly. There is a Russian-speaking staff member at the reception. - Rooms - comfortable, always clean, fresh bed linen/towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and daily body cream, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. - The room amenities include an electric kettle, iron with ironing board, TV, and hairdryer. - Daily supply of drinking water - 12 bottles of 0.5L, plus 2 bottles in the bathroom, as well as tea, coffee, cream, sugar, and napkins. - Dining - we opted for all-inclusive. I am not demanding in this regard; I just love to eat well😹 It was quite diverse and very tasty, amazing mousse desserts - I had them every day😅 Free plain water was always available, detox water with citrus fruits, and for breakfast, there were juices - watermelon and a couple more (I don’t like them, so I didn’t try) and drinks from the coffee machine. My daughter always had something to eat too - fish or chicken, vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, etc.), mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, pasta, pizza, and she really liked the omelet made by the chef, hash browns, eggs Benedict, and fruits - watermelon, melon, green apples, pineapple, and for sweets, we could choose pancakes, croissants, or Vienna waffles. - The beach is clean, with plenty of sunbeds, and there was always a lifeguard on duty. For the little ones, they provided buckets and shovels upon request. We did not use the pool, so I can't comment on that. I think I've covered everything)
Please tell me, is the sea water - warm or refreshing? Is the sea clean?
The water was at a temperature of 31 degrees, very pleasant to be in, a bit cooler in the morning, then gradually warming up, but again, it was really very comfortable! The sea was clear, the water was transparent, we saw many fish, and once we spotted Mr. Crab)))🦀 If there was any trash (a bag or bottle), the staff immediately removed it. And in the morning, they always tidied up the beach, including cleaning the loungers, paths, etc.
I am currently resting, I like everything. There is a Russian girl working at the reception, very pleasant. There is a very good mall, Galleria mall, 15 minutes walk from the hotel. There is Abu Dhabi mall (5 minutes) nearby. Across from the hotel, there is a very good supermarket. The hotel is clean, the room has everything. I brought an iron with me 😄 but it turns out there is one in the room. Water, coffee, and tea are all provided. Today is my second day. Yesterday for dinner, there were seafood dishes. Salads, today steak. The sea is very nice. It’s a pity that after 7 PM they don’t allow entry. As for the taxi, from the airport to the hotel it costs 90 dirhams (this is Yandex), the Careem app showed 120. And at the airport, it was 160.
Thank you for the information, it's useful. Could you please tell me, is there cosmetics in the rooms? Shampoo, soap?
There is everything and more, cream also with vitamin for the body. The conditioner is really very good for hair.
Beginning of August. Family vacation with a bunch of kids. Weather: Excellent, perfect for sauna lovers. You step outside and your clothes stick to your body. Temperature 38, sea 36, pool 30, humidity 50-70. In the morning and evening it’s a bit easier… Sea: Fine sand with tiny shells (grated 😊). From 11 AM to 3 PM, the sand gets hot, you have to pick up the pace from the pool to the sea))) your feet burn) but the distance is about 50 meters. Half of the path is a path and grass, so you don’t have to perform a mumbaya dance. In the morning, the tide goes out to -8 meters. By lunchtime, the water returns. When the tide goes out, a solid mud appears, which is not very pleasant to splash around in (you can’t build castles). When the tide has released, the sand is better. Holes were dug to China, but the holes got washed away in the morning. There are no waves, very calm. A jet ski always stands on the left. Around 10 AM until sunset, an employee comes for rentals. It was always free. Pay $$ and go make waves (beyond the buoys). The buoys are about 30-40 meters from the shore (by sight). There are two lines. You can swim between them too. The entrance is gently sloping. After about 10 meters, it’s already deep. Kids run from the pool, but without parents, the lifeguard doesn’t let them in. Lifeguards at the sea change (English-speaking). There are boxes with children's toys, buckets, shovels, spades… the current goes from left to right… flip-flops, rings have drifted away… look for them under the bridge on the right (where the stones are). The beach operated from 7 AM until sunset, as usual. Then the lifeguard asks everyone to leave for the pool or home) Pool: Great. Cool. In the morning and evening, it's even cold, and it's the beginning of August. It’s ideal in such weather. Early August – not too crowded, there was always a place to stand or swim. One lifeguard is on duty, often two. From opening (temporarily at 7 AM, otherwise at 8 AM) until closing (10 PM). There are plenty of loungers, always available. The hotel is not large, about 240-250 rooms. Plus, everyone seems to be afraid of the heat, so there are not many people, or maybe it’s always like this… The depth is about 1.20 – 1.60… diving is not allowed. There is a shallow pool nearby, about 5-7 meters next to the lifeguards. The depth is about 0.2-0.45 I think. It’s shaded from the sun. Almost round, with a transitional depth. The diameter is about 5 meters. It is sufficient for small kids, but they often played in the big pool. Hotel Territory: Not large. There is a football field (BIG), good, but it was closed. There is a tennis court (inside the building, someone was always playing, I think there are two zones). Outside there is a street basketball hoop, which was always free. Further, there are bars and nightclubs (more on them later). And the entire territory consists of tables and chairs (up to 50 pieces), a path to the pool and the sea. There are water, stones, and turtles on the paths. Oh, there is also a table for table tennis by the pool. One. Area behind the hotel: Three shopping malls. Emirate Mall… about 200-300 meters from the hotel (three floors). The first one has groceries, the second has household items (tech and various kitchenware). The third has clothes, bags, perfumes, toys… To the left of the hotel across the road is Abu Dhabi Mall… the entrance through the parking lot is the closest… it is huge. Boutiques, brands, food courts, and a children’s play area on the upper floors. To the left and across the bridge to the clinic where the Four Seasons hotel is located… there is the Gallery shopping center. Walk across the bridge and straight… it will be immediately after the Four Seasons. It’s also big. Boutiques… brands… etc. And a city beach. A one-hour walk (bus stops with air conditioning). Plus, all shops with air conditioning in buildings. 2GIS in hand and go ahead. Taxis also go there… 20 dirhams. The exchange rate… it was easier to count 1 to 23-24. 10 dirhams is about 240 rubles :) The nearby exchange offices are in Abu Dhabi Mall (the second one in the list above). All banks and exchange offices are there. In Emirates Mall – no. There should also be some in the Gallery. Hotel: At the reception, there is always a Russian-speaking lady. One works until lunch, another one from lunch until 11 PM. At lunchtime, they are together. You can easily get advice. There are 4 floors. Odd-numbered rooms on the left (possibly also on the right) side face the city. Even-numbered face the sea and pool. Odd-numbered rooms apparently have no balconies. Not scary, you can dry your clothes with the window open. The window opens from the bottom up by 10-15 cm. It tilts. NOT MORE. It can’t be opened completely. The pluses – kids don’t fall out of the windows and you don’t have to worry. Clothes dry quickly))) I found no downsides to this. The windows are tinted. The air conditioners in the rooms are powerful, 18 cold – 23 warm… There are 2 elevators. For outlets, bring an adapter… They don’t have one and don’t provide (only if someone left one from previous guests and it was left at the reception). Or learn to plug our plug into their socket. And finally - Restaurants and bars, and the dining system: I had the all-inclusive + drinks. There were people for breakfast and dinner, and through the reception, they changed dinner to lunch (I don’t know if they paid extra or not). So. On the left, there were about 4 kinds of salads plus small items like olives, cheese, and feta, then to the left there was pilaf with meat or pilaf with fish. Further to the left, a pot with chicken, a pot with goulash, a pot with fish (often in batter), and the last pot with vegetarian vegetables. Now to the right. Pots with soups. Usually broths and gruel. Plus various croutons. Next are three pots with side dishes. Mashed or diced potatoes. Pasta in sauce. And various legumes. Pizza is always available. Margarita and cheese. Either one or the other. And that’s it. On the other side, 4-6 types of pastries. Apples, oranges, melon, watermelon. Juices, water with lemon and orange. Orange juice. Pineapple juice. Watermelon juice. Tea, coffee. This is more for lunch and dinner. For breakfast: Eggs, Omelette. Sandwiches with bacon and egg. A couple of slices of sausage and ham. Pancakes and waffles. Pastries. On weekends, grilled chicken and beef (shorter, meat). The food from chefs varies and is abundant. New pastries, salads, basket dishes, red fish. Shrimp, mussels, and squid. Drinks. Beer Budweiser and Heineken. Red wine. White wine. Apple juice. Pineapple juice. Orange juice. Peach. Tea, coffee. More complex alcohol. Coffee at bars starts from 600-700 rubles. As for food, mainly if it is in sauce, it will be spicy. The same pasta. Basically, if it is red in color, it will definitely be spicy. The main Latest Recipe operates from breakfast until closing. Between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their bar inside the restaurant is open. It operates on an all-inclusive basis. When ordering drinks from the bar (if you purchased drinks), you need to sign a check at the exit from the restaurant (there will be a total of 0.00 on it, but they need it for accounting purposes (almost). There is no alcohol for breakfast, or I didn’t see anyone take it. There’s not much food, but it’s sufficient. There were always free tables, apparently, people rarely took lunch. Dinner had more people. There was once a breakfast from the chef, various goodies. And on Saturday and Sunday, there’s a barbecue chef during dinner (look for him in the far part of the hall behind the stoves with fire). Next, there are Bars and Nightclubs: 49er – does not work on an all-inclusive basis. Entrance from the street. Captain Arms – operates on an all-inclusive basis, only for dinner. Book a table and reserve at the bar a day in advance. Beach bar (by the pool) Oasis – operates on an all-inclusive basis. BUT TWO PRICES. One is paid, the other is all-inclusive (it has a limited menu. I didn’t see food there, only drinks). Beer (Budweiser and Heineken), red and white wine (no choice of brand), about 6 cocktails (Cuba Libre, Cosmo, Blue Hawaiian, and some others), assorted juices, tea, coffee. It seems there’s something non-alcoholic among the cocktails. That’s all. Juices are available from opening until closing. Alcoholic drinks are from 12 PM until closing. After 10 PM, all bars that work on an all-inclusive basis – do not work on it. At the reception bar Finjan (pastries, ice cream, coffee, and tea). It does not operate on an all-inclusive basis. Drink prices for coffee start from 28 dirhams. Up to about 40. Bar Meridian Club on the premises – does not operate on an all-inclusive basis. Bar Arkadia – does not operate on an all-inclusive basis. Exchange Lounge bar – also does not operate on an all-inclusive basis. All residents (including those not staying at the hotel) have access to bars and cafes. There is a separate entrance for them to the territory to the right of the hotel entrance. Accordingly, on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s lively there. Dressed-up girls arrive, beautiful residents of the Emirates, and so on. Taxis come in a stream... security is there, facial recognition, and passport control. The main bar, as I understood it, is the one towards the SPA salon (the corridor past the pool). There’s also a gym there. About the SPA area, hammam, and gym: In the all-inclusive system, SPA is supposedly accessible, but… The gym is accessible, the women’s and men’s changing rooms are available. In each changing room there’s a toilet, a small sauna, and a shower. Remember that the saunas are not traditional saunas; they are local in the changing rooms and not public). AND THAT’S IT. This is free. The spa salon includes massages; there seems to be a jacuzzi and that’s it. The HAMMAM has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic. They said it doesn’t work anymore (the receptionists can’t say for sure, but the SPA administrator confirmed it is not operational). Well, in general, the spa has a fee of $. There are no animations for children. No slides. Personally, we liked everything. But we are completely simple people and not picky. We took all-inclusive + drinks. We came for the sea, knew about the weather, kids are small, no entertainment needed. We didn’t go on excursions. The previous vacation was at Habtoor at Dubai Marina)))))))) among the guests… at the beginning of August, I would say Russian speakers were 15%.... by mid-August it became 40%. Apparently, the weather plays a role, or maybe the price) For the elevator to go up, you first need to hold your room card to it. Then press the floor. It works like a key. When going down, you don’t need the card. Well, anyone who goes - you’ll figure it out.

I'm leaving this hotel with many impressions, but not all are positive. The location is just amazing 🔥, but in the summer I only had the strength for the pool, and it's not very big, so when there are a lot of people, it's like a soup of people. There's a small private beach, it's very beautiful in the evening and not bad in the morning, but again, in such heat, I only dipped in a couple of times. As for the food - I took all inclusive, I would say it's modest, and there are hardly any fruits at all. However, on weekends they serve seafood and barbecue, and on Fridays there's Japanese cuisine. The drinks include beer, homemade Australian wine, cocktails, gin, rum, and I didn't drink the rest. The rooms are worn out, the staff is not very lively, but they try at the bar. That's about it..
Hello! 😊 Is the pool really that small? In the photo on Booking, it seemed huge, and I wanted to choose this hotel, but now I'm having doubts. How are the rooms, are they not like in the photo? And how is the service? How much does dinner cost, approximately?
I rested in July and August, the pool is not small, but not big either, the hotel is good in many ways, a solid 4 stars if you want. I can't help with food prices, we took all-inclusive.
So the beach is good? And the pool is decent? Thank you very much🤗. I'm currently choosing between Meridian and Khalidia. I would prefer Hilton or Hyatt or hotels on Saadiyat, but I can't afford it yet🤣
The beach is great, it's a pity there is no sea...
For a beautiful sea, more precisely an ocean, it’s in Fujairah. The Persian Gulf is not about a luxurious sea, but everything has its own charms.
Thank you very much for the clarification. We have been to Fujairah twice and several times to Dubai's city beaches. Therefore, I would like to clarify about Abu Dhabi. The situation with the sea at this hotel has become clear now.
If you take Abu Dhabi, then look for hotels in Saadiyat, Yas, the Corniche beaches are also nice, but you must understand that it's still not the same kind of vacation as in the Maldives (although they have their own Maldives). I actually like that there are places to swim and places to go and see. I love the location like that of the Meridien. There are luxurious hotels with good beaches, but there's nothing behind them, so each person chooses for themselves. 🤗
Quite decent
Please tell me about the meals, should I take half board or can I have dinner at nearby malls? It seems the food in the hotel is tasty? And what about delicious but diet-friendly options (for example, fish, shrimp, meat that is not fried, not in batter, but boiled/baked in the oven, grilled)? And at breakfast, is there any gluten-free food/baked goods?
I chose all-inclusive because in such heat, I don't see the point in going out to eat. As for gluten-free options, honestly, I don't know. You can actually write a request to the hotel. You can also ask the chef to prepare something for you separately. Breakfasts and food in general are all tasty and of good quality, but there isn't a huge selection. I honestly believe that in the UAE it’s better to choose all-inclusive because prices for food and drinks are not low. Even if you plan to eat at other places or skip lunch, you will already make up for the all-inclusive cost with drinks. Again, it all depends on how you plan to rest; if you are going to leave the hotel constantly for entire days, then take just breakfast. But I want to warn you again, in some beach clubs on the beaches, just coffee costs around 1200 rubles. There is grilled meat and fish without batter; I didn’t notice any sharp spices.

Top 7 tips for your stay at Le Meridien Abu Dhabi
Good afternoon, who here has taken the half-board concept breakfast + dinner? How do you like the food, I'm curious to hear about the dinners. Is it true that only water is included?
Only water, yes. If you have a club room, then there's a happy hour in the lounge. Dinners and breakfasts are normal, completely without frills.
Good afternoon! We are currently at the hotel. You can have dinner outside the hotel, there are many cafes and restaurants around or in shopping centers that are 5-10 minutes away. We liked the seafood at the fish market; you don't have to go and choose at the market, you can simply choose from the menu on-site. The prices there are significantly lower for seafood than in restaurants.
Thank you for the information.
Hello, could you please tell me how the wi-fi is on the hotel premises?
The internet was good everywhere.
Good evening, who can tell me if a deposit was taken in the hotel?
Did not take. If the bar will be empty. If you want to fill it, you can tell them during check-in. They will prepare both the bar and the deposit.
Can someone tell about the liquor store near the hotel: what are the prices for strong alcohol and beer?
I was looking at Pepsi and Coke in the markets... prices are like at home) not very different. We were sitting and calculating whether it was worth paying extra for all-inclusive to all-inclusive+drinks. For a group of 2+3, it cost us 50 thousand. We concluded that we drank worth 50 thousand rubles. Pros - we had no problems with purchases (didn't have to walk, run, or crawl... if we wanted something - we just ordered)... Cons - limited STRICT SELECTION, the bar closes after 22:00... you can't take drinks to your room, and sometimes you want to enjoy in silence... perhaps next time we would go for what almost everyone did (judging by the tables), all-inclusive without drinks (saving 50 thousand) and then buy what we want in the market))) otherwise we just drank our own to avoid being in the loss))) however, many were surprised when we ordered the fifth pair of glasses of wine))) at the pool bar, alcohol is served from 12 until closing (around 20:00)... juices are available from opening until closing at the restaurant bar (from opening until closing).
Good afternoon! Could you tell me if it's possible to change the meal plan on-site from breakfast + dinner to all-inclusive? And how much does it cost?
They changed DINNER to LUNCH at the reception in front of me... no problem. I think this can be done as well, but I haven't checked.
Thank you
Do you know if there’s an opportunity to dance in the evening on weekends? I read that some bar is where people go to hang out, but I didn’t understand if hanging out means dancing or just sitting and drinking? Also, do any of the bars have fresh juices?
Freshly squeezed is possibly for a fee. Where it is free or all-inclusive, I did not notice such. From packs. But not bad. Not YUPI.
Freshly squeezed juices were available for breakfast: pineapple, orange, and some other choice. At least when I was there.
Where there are three boxes (cans on the left at the entrance? I thought so too) until I started taking from the bar out of the packs. The same thing. And in the last few days, I've only been getting watermelon) and water. But it helped that I had drinks included and I ordered juice as well. Otherwise, it would only have been watermelon.
I evaluate it by the sugar ) Before packaged ones, they are too normal, but anything can happen, they claim that it's fresh ) A very beautiful party place on the roof of the Rosewood hotel, by the way, it can be seen from our beach, there is definitely a place to hang out, but I didn't go, honestly in such heat we were already sleeping by 10 ) You can read about the menu and prices of each bar on their website
Who stayed at the hotel, please tell what food is offered for lunch and breakfast? What drinks are available? How much fish is there? Maybe they took photos of the buffet for a better understanding.
For lunch, there is chicken, beef, and fish. But there are not many options. A couple of chickens (boiled, battered like KFC), beef patties, meatballs, white boiled fish. One or two different dishes. There are pastries. The selection is limited. Juices, wine, and beer are available... BUT either all-inclusive + drinks, or payment upon exit. You can also pay for dinner, lunch, breakfast at the entrance. But I can't tell you how much and what here. Plus, food from the chef, which has a significant and diverse selection, but it's only once a week and on weekends there is a grill.
