This hotel is not just in first place on my list for no reason: it is closest to the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital! Moreover, it is a hotel with a beautiful area, a large outdoor pool, luxurious panoramic windows, and a stylish building design.

This hotel is conveniently located near the hospital! Moreover, it's one of those cases where walking is more convenient than driving: it will take the same 10 minutes, but by car, you'll have to navigate through interchanges, while walking will be a pleasant stroll through the park. There's also a bike route here, and it's the fastest way – just 4 minutes. I can ride if I find a rental, but my pregnant sister definitely won't, so it's better if we both walk. The distance is just under a kilometer.

I will say right away that this is one of the best hotels in my selection, though it comes with a corresponding price. I really liked the area: here you feel like you are at a resort, not in a city. If the weather is good, I will send my sister to the hospital, while I will relax by the pool! Just kidding, of course I will be providing my support as well. While sitting by the pool 😆

The "Deluxe" category rooms are very spacious – like a whole apartment! For the two of us, there will definitely be no crowding, in fact, they are designed for 5-6 people. And the view of the mountains and the city is mesmerizing and relaxing.

The legendary luxurious Hyatt in the very heart of Barcelona's life! Of course, such a hotel could not pass me by. Or I could not pass by such a hotel. It is huge – 465 rooms. I must admit, I prefer smaller boutique hotels, but even in such giants, there is their own charm, for example, the well-tuned service.

The hotel is located 2 km from the San Joan de Déu hospital, right on Avinguda Diagonal, so it couldn't be easier to get there. You can walk, which takes about 25 minutes, or take the bus (15 minutes) or a taxi (just 10 minutes). Maps also suggest a cycling route that takes 7 minutes – not an option for us, but still not bad. And as a former football fan, I was pleased to see that the "Barcelona" stadium Camp Nou is only a 5-minute walk away. It must be noisy here during matches! This is something to consider.

The hotel made a big impression on me. It is real luxury, which you usually see at seaside resorts rather than in the middle of a big city. For example, there are 5 restaurants and a spa center covering 1000 sq.m! We will definitely go here for water treatments, and I will also visit the sauna and steam room. However, I was a bit upset to learn that the spa center is available for an additional fee. On the other hand, I was very pleased with the open area with a terrace and pool. We are planning a trip for the warm season, so there will also be opportunities to sunbathe and even swim. Super!

Very beautiful hotel with a modern and stylish interior. Apparently, it's very comfortable to relax here. I can already imagine how during a break between appointments, my sister and I put on big white robes and head to the open terrace to swim and lie on the sunbeds!

Further in the selection process, I came across Nobu Hotel — a beautiful and stylish hotel in Barcelona. It is not only luxurious but also perfect if you are coming to the city for medical reasons. The atmosphere here is so relaxing that you can both rest and focus on your health – and I know that such matters are often exhausting. In general, I decided to add it to my list because in comparison to it, other hotels seem a bit dull.

The San Joan de Déu Hospital is only 4 km away. Yes, it's not the next door, but we can get there by taxi in 15-20 minutes. Of course, you can't walk there, but overall, it won't be difficult to reach. There's also an option to take the bus: route number 78 runs between these points.

What I like about this hotel is its style, comfortable rooms, and the breakfast that is already included. It's convenient if you don't want to spend time searching for food in the mornings, and if you need to fast for tests, you can manage to return before breakfast is over. The hotel has a spa where my sister and I will definitely relax after visiting the doctors. The gym is well-equipped, but we are unlikely to make use of it. It was also nice to know that all facilities are provided for people with limited mobility, so there will be no issues with that if my sister returns here after giving birth.

I also really liked the panoramic windows and the view from the window over all of Barcelona. It's very beautiful and you can explore the details!

I haven't mentioned yet that the hotel has a rooftop pool with loungers. I think this will be the place where I will spend my mornings while my sister is in the hospital. In the evening, there is a beautiful view of night-time Barcelona from the terrace. The hotel made a very pleasant impression on me.

I know the Melia hotel chain well: they always combine comfort and convenience excellently. It is quite stylish and not too expensive, suitable for both those coming for medical reasons and regular tourists.

During non-traffic times, you can easily get there in 10-15 minutes by taxi, but during rush hours, it's best to leave early. You can also take the bus, which is very convenient, direct, and without transfers. However, walking takes too long, so this option won't work for us.

The rooms are quite minimalistic, in light tones; I wouldn’t say the design stands out in any way. It’s rather strict, but cozy; the sofa in the living corner looks very comfortable. The windows are large, and from the high floors, the city is at your fingertips.

Melia Barcelona Sarrià — a good choice without any fuss, everything is to the point here. I read the reviews and concluded that the hotel is very comfortable, you will be able to sleep well in a comfortable bed, and that is important. I was surprised that the hotel has an Italian restaurant instead of a Spanish one, but we still don’t plan to dine there, so it's not that important.

This hotel attracted me with its unique combination of luxury and convenience. The location is great, plus the hotel has an excellent restaurant. Usually, neither my sister nor I dine at the hotel: we plan to stroll around the city and eat somewhere there in our free time, but after a long journey, it will be nice to grab a bite at the hotel.

The ABaC hotel is located northeast of the San Joan de Deu hospital, 5 kilometers via the ring road. It will be convenient to reach without traffic jams. You can take a bus, but I don't think we will prefer this option over a taxi. A good location - I simply couldn't find any five-star hotels within 3 km of the hospital.

Breakfast is included, so there will be no problems with that either. And there are special facilities for people with limited mobility. The spa, indoor pool, and wellness center are also a plus, which is just what my sister needs after her medical examinations. There is also a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and fitness center.

The rooms offer a view of the city or the garden. Perhaps I would even prefer the second option because the greenery is very calming and relieves stress.

This hotel successfully combines comfort for my sister and luxurious amenities for me! I think we'll both really enjoy our stay here. In this quiet and picturesque area, we can go for walks, and getting to the hospital or the city center will be easy.
