I have the opportunity to go on vacation, and my friend from college agreed to keep me company. The thing is, I have a passion for painting and love to draw landscapes, so I'm always looking for beautiful places and views. My friend suggested considering a trip to Marrakech - it's one of the cities in Morocco. And we realized that this option might work for both of us. I will be capturing the most memorable views, while she will be relaxing in a beautiful place. We also searched for hotels together to please both of us. All options have completely different views and locations, and we will choose one unique place for ourselves. Of course, we will also look at what services and accommodations are offered for guests. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on May 09, 2025.

Les Jardins de la Koutoubia is certainly much larger than the previous one. Everything here will be a bit more expensive, but it seems justified. The hotel is located near the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The airport is nearby - 4 km away, and there is an airport transfer service. At least 3 or 4 attractions from Les Jardins de la Koutoubia are less than a kilometer away. Such walks are definitely manageable for my friend and me. However, it worries us that the staff advises against going outside alone or without an escort. I'm not easily scared, and we will be with my friend, but I want to feel safe.
It is futile to compare views with one another here, but it is not necessary — we wanted each hotel to stand out and be unique compared to others. The main panorama in this hotel is the view of the Koutoubia Mosque. It is a very tall and incredibly old building. At night, its top is illuminated by lanterns, so the mosque can be seen even without sunlight. From the public terrace with the pool, it is visible quite closely. And it turned out that the room has a view of it! Therefore, of course, we highlighted this hotel among many for such a wonderful view of the old city. I think I will be painting here every day.
By the way, all the rooms are quite spacious when you’re not living alone – you want more space. But we were also interested in a specific room according to our request – and it’s the Uarzazi suite. Such a funny name, but when we saw what it looks like and the personal terrace there – we were delighted. A large bedroom and bathroom, and most importantly – a very green balcony with a sofa and a view right onto the mosque. It’s a pity that this hotel doesn’t offer a free breakfast with such a room. It disappointed us, but there are a couple of cafes nearby. The room's decor is new and the cleaning is good – I was afraid there might be a catch somewhere. But no, in every review, there’s literally a dash in the "cons" line.
Honestly, considering the size of the hotel, I thought there would be more services for guests. The main focus is on the spa! Yes, there is a sauna, beauty salon services, and various massages. It's a pity that there are no bicycles for rent, and none of us drives a car, although they are available for rent here. Also, there are two pools, and one of them is indoors - I prefer that one to the outdoor pool because there won’t be wind and shade, which means it will be much warmer. If my friend and I get bored in the evening, we can play billiards or table tennis.
Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa

- 10.1 km

- Massage / Beauty Centre
- Solarium
- Aerobics on site
- Nightclubs
- Golf Course
Well, Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa has its own uniqueness. I immediately noticed that it is very green - there are lawns, trees, and a whole park around. But what really stands out is not the large inner courtyard, but the view of the mountains. My friend found out that the transfer to and from the airport is free, but there is another problem - the distance from all the attractions. The hotel is almost on the outskirts of the city and you can't reach the museum or park by walking. Let's hope that the beautiful views and entertainment will be enough for us on the hotel grounds.
Yes, the garden here is incredibly large, I would even highlight it as the main feature of the hotel. And it truly is unique; it does not repeat that inner courtyard that I liked in the very first option. You can really feel nature, and this feeling is complemented by the view of the mountains. We browsed through many hotels in the city and found very few like this one with such natural surroundings. I will definitely have something to paint, and my friend will be able to relax in the quiet among the trees. This option appealed to both of us, and we will consider going here.
Most rooms only offer a view of the garden, which is nice in its own way, but I found a grand deluxe room where you can also see the mountains. It is very simply decorated, nothing special, but the presence of a balcony and a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub adds to the advantages of this place. There is another problem here – outdated rooms. Apparently, the renovation was done a long time ago and something needs updating. I don't know how much this applies to the deluxe room that I liked, but I hope that the room won't spoil the impression of the vacation.
However, the selection of additional and entertainment services is simply gigantic. We realized that families probably visit here often, as there are water slides (although according to reviews they also need repairs), animators, and a special club for children. We noted that the staff conducts bike tours – this is more suitable for us. We will be able to see something outside the hotel and get some exercise. Maybe we will go to a couple of live music concerts in the evening; it will be very atmospheric. And as for something interesting – I would love to try archery, I haven't seen anything like that anywhere!
Appart avec vue Jardin/Majorelle
- Distance from city center:
- 1.5 km

- Restaurant
It may seem that Appart with Garden/Majorelle view is also located among an ordinary garden, that's exactly what I thought until I read information about it and looked at the map to see where it is located. This is indeed an option for apartments, which is not very convenient for us, as my friend and I rarely cook and it would be easier for us to dine in the hotel restaurant. However, there is a minimarket on the premises — that is very helpful. This area is safe, with round-the-clock security and there is a shuttle service, but it is paid.
So, when I took a closer look at where the hotel is located, I saw that it is one of the attractions of the city, but not a mosque, rather the Majorelle Garden. My friend did not appreciate the place, said that the garden looks very similar to the previous one and she does not see the difference. But there is a difference! The Majorelle Garden is a special place with unique plants and its own bamboo grove! How much I will be able to draw here that is not found anywhere else. On top of that, storks often build nests in the tall trees here, and this can be seen with your own eyes. I am ready to go to this hotel next to the famous garden right now, but my friend wants to think about it some more.
The room has very interesting windows with a view - they are located at the corner and made as sliding doors. But since it's all among the trees - not much sunlight comes in here. The kitchen is equipped with a bar counter and all the necessary appliances, but we don't really like to cook, unless we buy ready-made food from the supermarket. Although the map shows that there are several local restaurants nearby, maybe we'll stop by there. Because overall, there are enough other amenities here.
Yes, the main problem with apart-hotels is that there will not be a lot of entertainment services. The hotel does offer a golf course and a water park, but all of this is outside and for an additional fee. The only thing that saves in this case is the proximity to the Moshiral Garden and the possibility of walking through it, but most other interesting places are quite far away.
Four Seasons Resort Marrakech
- Distance from city center:
- 1.5 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Massage
- Massage / Beauty Centre
- Tennis Courts
- Billiards
- Bicycle Rental
- Free Wi-Fi
My friend and I ultimately found five hotels that appealed to us with beautiful and diverse views. And the last one — Four Seasons Resort Marrakech. It reminded me somewhat of the second option, as it has the same internal layout with a pool, palm trees, and loungers. It is located next to the Menara Gardens (these are different from Majorelle). We will be assisted with transfer from Casablanca and the airport. There is a tour desk at the reception so that my friend and I don't have to rack our brains about when and how to go, we can simply choose a ready-made itinerary.
Unfortunately, there is no water view in Marrakech, I really wanted to paint landscapes of the city with a river or a lake. But here, as an artist, I saw another option – a panoramic view of quite a modern part of the city. Historical buildings are very beautiful, but it will also be very interesting to paint life in new areas, their architecture. My friend said there is a lot to observe here, unlike the previous option. From the common area, only a small part of the city is visible, but the view from the rooms is much better.
There are accommodation options with their own patio and even a pool, but they are closed off from the beautiful view that we liked so much. A panoramic view can be enjoyed from the standard room with a terrace and the presidential suite. Of course, the latter option is simply huge, the terrace is wide and you can see many houses from there. However, we were a bit put off by the price, so maybe we should get a regular room – it also has a balcony where you can see quite a few houses (there's even a partial view of the Menara gardens). However, I don't know if there will be furniture on that balcony to sit and draw. Otherwise, the rooms are well-equipped, but not very new, with a lot of furniture, and overall the rooms require renovation.
The list of additional services did not disappoint. I was pleased to see that temporary art exhibitions are held here, although my friend is not very interested in that. She would rather go see the evening program with a concert. There are many spa services available, and there is a sauna with a steam room - we will definitely go relax together! The hotel offers transfer services not only to/from the airport, but you can also get to any nearby places, as they are not within walking distance.
We couldn't decide for a long time where to stay in the end — I was fine with the apartments, but my friend didn't like them very much, and she wanted more entertainment. So we decided to settle at Les Jardins de la Koutoubia, from where we can see the Koutoubia Mosque. We will have our own terrace with a view, where I can paint, many attractions nearby, and good services at the hotel itself.

At first, Riad Azia seemed quite modest to me, but then I learned that many hotels in Marrakech are small if they are located in historic buildings. Despite its simple exterior, this hotel has a rather favorable location among many attractions and charming places in the city. Although you can't see them from the hotel, we liked a different view here.
Conveniently, there is a transfer service and it is not far from the airport. I wouldn’t want to get there with a heavy suitcase on my own. There are many types of rooms to choose from. At first glance, Riad Azia definitely deserves our attention.
And now I will mention the main thing that attracted me here as an artist – this lovely inner courtyard. My friend did not appreciate this place at first and said it looked too simple, but I explained to her how nice it can be here. The courtyard reminded me of a well, with the old building surrounded by a small garden on all sides. But the main thing is that the old windows, arches, and patterns on them have been preserved.
Overall, it's a peaceful place with a nice view. The only downside is that the courtyard is small and there is a pool, so people come here constantly. But I have already decided that I will get up early in the morning to paint, while my friend will sleep in and come a little later! For the old building in good condition and the well-kept courtyard – the hotel suits us in its appearance.
We also studied this point about the hotel quite carefully because we wanted to ensure that the view was preserved in our room, if possible. And yes, such an option was found, even two - standard and suite. The first one is decent, but very small for two people, I'm afraid we just won't fit there with our things. However, in the suite, there is space, even a desk with a mirror and an armchair in the bedroom. Each of us will have our own space. Moreover, breakfast is included in the suite, and we can also add lunch and dinner. But we will think about that some more; perhaps we will limit ourselves to a buffet breakfast and go to a café at other times.
One of the popular services among guests at the hotel is, of course, the swimming pool. However, many reviews mention that the water is quite cool. We might swim once, but I prefer warmer water or heated water. The most useful service for us is that the front desk can provide helpful information about the city and places to stroll around.
My goal is to visit picturesque areas, while my friend wants to check out local museums and shopping centers. I think renting bikes would be just right for this, to make it more fun and faster. My friend also suggested going to cooking workshops that are often held here, but I'm a complete zero in cooking, so I'm not sure if I'll go.
