Morocco is my long-time dream! The architecture of the houses is quite distinctive, and there is an obvious uniqueness in this country as a whole. I love studying the history and culture of different places, and I am particularly interested in Marrakech. There are many ancient buildings and interesting attractions preserved there. I enjoy active leisure with visits to beautiful locations, I travel alone and want to take many photographs. That's why I decided to find a hotel with some wonderful view from the terrace or from the windows of the room. This way, I will be surrounded by charming places everywhere, even near my room. However, I have not yet decided what kind of view I want, so I made a list of hotels in different locations. Of course, I will also look at the services and prices. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on May 09, 2025.

As I mentioned, I want to find different options to understand which one is more interesting. That's why I added Hotel Almas here; it is located in the city center, which makes it immediately convenient for my walking tours and movements. The trip to or from the international airport takes 15 minutes and there is a transfer — I will feel super comfortable! And the train station is even closer to the hotel, by the way. Maybe I will consider trips somewhere outside the city? But the reviews note the main downside — not the most varied breakfasts. I would like more pastries and hot dishes, as well as drinks. Since breakfast is free — I will go sometimes, but I better find some good local cafes.
The view from the hotel overlooks the Gueliz area. This part of the city has modern and old buildings and a very charming tree-lined avenue along the road. Honestly, it reminds me of Europe - everything is neat, with low buildings and a well-kept area. I thought that a view of the city without a specific landmark is also interesting! Especially since even residential houses and hotels in Marrakesh look picturesque. Plus, it's important to understand that there are no high buildings in this city, and finding a good view of the city is not that easy. So I am interested in this hotel and adding it to my collection.
I need to be more careful when booking a room because in Marrakech, as I've noticed, it's common to have small and narrow windows, some even with special grilles. I still want a room with larger windows, preferably with a balcony. There is a suite that matches my description, and it is quite inexpensive; staying in it will still be cheap. There are different types of suites - with a separate living room or a large bedroom and an additional sofa. But I repeat, I think the best option would be a beautiful view. There is a standard double room, it is cheaper and similar in amenities and layout to the suite, but the windows are slightly smaller and also overlook the inner courtyard. I haven’t decided yet which option will suit me best.
I immediately noticed one interesting point in this place — temporary art exhibitions. Vacation for me — it's a time to learn and see something new, so I really approve of this. As for the beautiful view — it opens up from the hotel's roof, where the pool and sun terrace are located. Of course, visiting this place is only possible in warm weather, so I'm not sure I can get there if I go in winter🙁 But there is also a plus — food and drink delivery to the room, sometimes I get lazy and want to stay in after a walk, so I will take advantage of this opportunity!
Riad Sidi Ayoub

It is radically different from the two previous hotels — Riad Sidi Ayoub. And I am specifically talking about the appearance, but more on that later. This complex is located in the old city of Marrakech. It is a 10-minute walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The reviews here highly praise the staff for their friendliness, and I consider this to be an important point! Because when traveling alone — it’s a bit stressful, and if they can help and suggest something, that would be really great. There is a coffee shop on the premises, as well as a transfer service and a tour desk — excellent services for me!
I said that the view is very different from the previous options that I liked. Why? The windows overlook the inner courtyard, or rather, the inner well. In Marrakech, it is indeed very common for windows to be small or even nonexistent, but in this hotel, there are decent rooms with large windows and doors to the inner courtyard. Here you can see a small garden, several tables, presumably for sitting with a drink from the café. I also noticed very beautiful white arches around the passages. For such an unusual view and at the same time the comfort of the room — this hotel definitely makes it to my top.
Yes, here you can exit the room to a shared balcony, where below will be the very inner courtyard of the hotel. This applies specifically to standard double rooms; suites have their own terrace with loungers, but almost nothing can be seen from it due to the high walls. In this case, I will take a standard room - it will be better for the view and also cheaper. In such a room, I will even have a hydromassage bathtub and a coffee machine. It seems I am starting to lose faith that this is a budget hotel. But I like it more and more! Even about the renovations, there are no complaints here.
Right in the building, they can hold a presentation for me about the local culture – I think I will take advantage of this service in the first few days in Marrakech. Bicycle and walking tours are paid separately, but such services are never free anywhere. From the hotel, you can even go horseback riding! I'm a little scared, but the offer is tempting. The highest number of services here is offered in the spa – various massages and baths. Before leaving home, I will visit there; maybe not only the attractions will make me want to return to this city!
I made an unexpected decision for myself – to stay in the last hotel. I really liked this inner courtyard, the quality and condition of the rooms, and the accessibility of excursions and walks, which I really need on this vacation. It turned out that the view of the lovely inner courtyard can be much better than that of the city!

Chems Hotel is categorized as a budget hotel, although at first, it didn't seem so to me. It has a large territory, there is a garden, everything looks well-maintained. But you can really rest here cheaply, and it's also close to interesting places to visit - Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and Koutoubia Mosque. The hotel is five kilometers from the airport, and you can even order a transfer. There's even WI-FI, it works in the common areas, but it’s weak and intermittent. On the other hand, what do I need the internet for here?
The most important thing that attracted me to this hotel is the view. I already mentioned that the hotel is located near important cultural landmarks in the city. So, the view from the single room that I plan to take for myself looks directly at the Koutoubia Mosque. Yes, at first, there's a garden in front of me, but for me, it only enhances the view of the ancient building of the mosque. It is clearly visible from the personal balcony, the public area, and is also visible near the pool.
One of the special amenities of the room is, of course, the free breakfast. I'm always up for a good meal. All rooms have their own bathroom, and some even have spacious guest corners, but all this is nothing new. The hotel has been operating for a long time, and some things need to be replaced. I'm not too worried about this since I will be paying half of what I usually do. But I hope the staff will give me a room in good condition. I'm also pleased with the presence of air conditioning and towels – these may be small things, but they significantly improve the holiday.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of services offered at the budget hotel. Although, of course, some things are paid separately, this system also applies in expensive hotels, so there is nothing unusual about it. Bicycle rental is paid, but the tennis court is free to use. Maybe I should try to go there in between excursions? And this complex also has wellness services with a pool. I appreciated that the most, even though I don’t really like to swim, but just for the view, it's worth coming here.
