I chose Rixwell Elefant Hotel because it is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from Riga International Airport and the charming Old Town. For me, it is a wonderful combination for travelers.

I always dedicate quality time to breakfast. Therefore, I will happily spend it at the Easy Breezy-Sky Loft Hotel Kyiv restaurant from Rixwell International. It is located on the third floor of the hotel. Here, breakfast is served in a buffet format with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, vegetarian and healthy options. Guests have a convenient time for dining from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays, and until 11:00 AM on weekends and holidays. Some enjoyed the diverse breakfast with a wide range of products, fresh fruits and vegetables, good coffee, delicious desserts, and pastries, while others were not thrilled. You can't please everyone.

Since we are traveling with my sister, I would choose a double "Comfort" room with two beds and breakfast included. There will be free Wi-Fi, ironing facilities, and everything for hot drinks, comfortable beds, a practical work area, and a bathroom. Everything in the room is very neat and modest. Previous guests appreciated the cleanliness and comfortable bed. However, someone encountered a room with a faulty climate control system and it was very hot at night. Also, someone was without hot water for two days. 

Spoil yourself with spa treatments and maintain your physical fitness in the gym even while traveling, so that you always feel great. I never skip workouts because it's the extra energy that's always needed for exploring the city. 

The Park Inn Riga Valdemara hotel is located on the western bank of the Daugava River, near the city center and many attractions. It is just a 12-minute drive from Riga International Airport and 2 public transport stops from the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A suitable place for our tourist purposes. 

In the hotel’s modern restaurant, breakfast is served in a buffet format. It is available on weekdays from 6:30 to 10:30, and on weekends from 7:00 to 11:00. Guests say that the food is delicious and varied. For example, the menu even includes salted fish, different kinds of cheese, wakame salad, roasted nuts, cereals, filled croissants, and water with lemon and mint. However, if you want to enjoy your favorite dishes, guests recommend arriving before 10 o'clock, as half of the food selections may already be gone. During peak times, the staff does not handle the workload very well.

All 178 stylish and comfortable rooms feature work desks, flat-screen TVs, and panoramic windows that allow natural light to flow in. They also offer views of the spacious cityscape. The hotel has ample rooms with the option of connecting, as well as accommodations for people with disabilities.

From the upper floors, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Daugava River, the Old Town, and the city parks. Free access to the fitness center is also provided, which is not available in all budget places. 

Guests say that the hotel is very beautiful and modern with comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts, and a gym, but with paid parking and inconvenient access. They also praise the location close to the center and the stunning view from the windows and balconies of the rooms, where one can observe sunrises and sunsets. However, guests did not like, for example, the poor functioning of the toilet drain and incomplete room cleaning. 

This 4-star SUPERIOR hotel is located next to the Daugava River, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Old Town. I liked that it is situated in a green area on Kipsala Island, just a 12-minute walk from the Old Town. 

The restaurant on the first floor offers a hearty breakfast in the form of a buffet. There will also be gluten-free and lactose-free options for guests. I particularly liked this since my sister has an intolerance. From Monday to Friday, come from 7:00 to 10:30, and on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 to 11:00. The menu will include the following dishes: various types of porridge, boiled eggs, omelet, sausages, yeast pancakes, fried potatoes, bacon, beans in tomato sauce or sauerkraut, cheese, cottage cheese, various types of ham, fish assortment. They also offer pickled and fresh vegetables, yogurts, jam, a selection of fresh fruits, three different types of breakfast cereals, dried fruits and nuts, pastries, and bread. Additionally, there are various drinks and sauces. 

I would choose a double room with a view of Old Riga. It is decorated in calm beige tones. It has everything needed for relaxation and living: a comfortable bed, a climate control system, a television with a seating area, a bathroom with a hairdryer, a kettle.

Guests praise the responsive staff, excellent location. Across the bridge — the city center and a shopping mall nearby, as well as a beautiful view of the Old Town. Many appreciated the free parking, clean rooms, and good breakfast. Among the drawbacks, some noted outdated rooms, strong soundproofing issues from the hallway, lack of access to the terrace on the roof, and no safe in the room.

I liked that the AC Hotel by Marriott Riga is conveniently located in a charming area of Riga. It is away from the noise of the city center, yet just a few minutes from the Old Town and main attractions. The building is surrounded by restaurants, cozy cafes, delicatessen shops, museums and art galleries, sports facilities, concert and exhibition venues. I think it is a great place for tourists. 

When booking, please indicate that you need a room with breakfast. Every morning it is served in a buffet format with dishes of European cuisine. Guests are satisfied with the choice: there are eggs, pancakes, fruits, fish assortments, and much more. Additionally, reviews mention that the dishes were hot and tasty, and the restaurant staff is friendly and pleasant.

Each room features comfortable single or double beds, reading lamps, safes, and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom includes a shower with sliding glass doors, a hairdryer, and a mini cosmetic kit for body and hair care. There is also a convenient built-in workspace with a chair, desk, and a refrigerator with refreshing drinks. I liked that the rooms are very stylish, compact, yet cozy. 

The best way to learn about a country's culture is to visit museums, markets, try the cuisine, and interact with the locals. There are suitable places for this near the hotel. You will discover the cultural side of the country when you visit the Latvian National Museum of Art. Be sure to stroll through the medieval streets and the central market to taste dishes of traditional Latvian cuisine in the Old Town and better experience the flavors of Latvia and its traditions. Of course, buy something unusual at Imagehouse - the first designer store and cafe in Riga.

A rich selection of dishes and a hearty breakfast in a buffet format awaits you at the hotel restaurant. On weekdays, it is served from 7 to 10, and on weekends and national holidays in Latvia – from 7:30 to 11 am. The menu includes various egg dishes, salads, fish, crispy bacon, a warm custard pie, and much more. Pancakes, sweet pastries, and fresh fruits are an integral part of the breakfast. When booking, choose a room with meals included. Guests have noted that the dishes are tasty and wonderful. However, there were also reviews mentioning a small selection of food, the absence of gluten-free options, queues for hot beverages, as well as crowding and noise during breakfast.

The rooms here are well-equipped, exuding an atmosphere of comfort, with everything you need for relaxation. The rooms have windows facing the street or the courtyard. For example, the double room includes a telephone, television, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe, a hairdryer, a mini-refrigerator, coffee and tea. Please note that it is not suitable for guests with allergies. It is also very convenient that some rooms can be connected to single or standard double rooms with an intermediary door, making them suitable for families or groups of friends. 

The hotel’s spa complex features a Finnish sauna for 18 people, a jacuzzi, and a relaxation room. You can start your day enjoying a healthy and relaxing morning in the sauna and jacuzzi. Daily access to the morning sauna is included in the room rate and is available from 7 to 11 a.m. At other times, it is available only by prior reservation. It is still very nice that all this is included in the price, as is access to the gym.

Guests were pleased with the beautiful rooms, good service, and the welcoming, friendly staff. They also noted the convenient location of the hotel near the shopping center and the central train station, just a few minutes' walk from the bus station, the central market, and the old town. Some mentioned the noise in the room from the running equipment, high temperatures from the heating, and the inability to open the window.
