In February 2025, the traditional carnival will take place in Venice. I dream of seeing this event with my own eyes! I'm glad that my friends supported me, and we will go together to this amazing city surrounded by water. Unfortunately, we don't have time to save money - February is just around the corner, so we are looking for a budget hotel and definitely with breakfast. I've even put together a selection of seven hotels that fit my request. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 18, 2025.

Arcadia Boutique Hotel with a good rating and excellent location — next to the Venice train station, and 300 meters from the vaporetto stop. A great option if you also don’t plan to stay in the hotel all the time.
Breakfast in buffet style is served every morning from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A convenient time to eat and head out for an excursion! The selection of dishes is quite good: there are hot and cold snacks, as well as fresh pastries and homemade desserts. Having coffee in the morning with a sweet croissant is simply a dream!
Despite the fact that Arcadia Boutique Hotel is in a 17th-century building, the rooms look quite fresh and cozy. The only downside is that the room sizes are small and, unlike the previous option, there are no rooms for three or four people. However, there are single rooms – a decent option for each of us to have a separate small room. The rooms themselves combine modern, Eastern, and Venetian styles. They look beautiful!
Arcadia Boutique Hotel — a wonderful hotel with a great location. In the mornings, they serve good and hearty breakfasts, and there are plenty of places nearby to visit — a wide selection of restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
Albergo Marin
- Distance from city center:
- 0.3 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Garden
- Air Conditioned
- Refrigerator
- Mini Bar
Albergo Marin — the only hotel in my selection that has only 1 star. However, the location is quite good with a great position near the Venice train station. My friends and I really liked the location!
The Albergo Marin hotel offers a good selection of breakfasts. There are even dishes for those with food allergies or those who are mindful of their diet - gluten-free and vegan options. Yes, the choice of dishes is not very large, but they have all the best for starting the day: hot and cold snacks, yogurts, muesli, pastries, toasts, jams, and butter. You can have anything you want with coffee and leave feeling full until lunch!
The rooms in the hotel are quite small. For example, the junior suite is only 18 square meters. Of course, it will be difficult to accommodate with family or friends. Although there is a four-person option with the same square footage. A great choice to save money and suitable for those who do not plan to spend all their time in the hotel! Nevertheless, the rooms are quite good and comfortable with everything you need. The interiors are classic, I would even say, strict.
Albergo Marin — a wonderful hotel with a great location. There is a church of Saint Simeon nearby, and in general, the surroundings are picturesque and perfect for walks. There is a small bar on the premises.
Hotel Tiziano
- Distance from city center:
- 1.1 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- Restaurant
- Air Conditioned
- Refrigerator
- Mini Bar
- Safe-Deposit Box
Hotel Tiziano can compete with the previous hotels on my list for the best location. A picturesque place and the building itself was constructed in the 15th century. Wonderful! A vaporetto stop is located just a five-minute walk from the hotel, allowing quick access to the key attractions of Venice.
Breakfasts at Hotel Tiziano are served in a "buffet" format. The breakfast room is incredibly atmospheric and cozy. I saw a photo with a Christmas tree and was filled with incredible delight! The selection of dishes is quite small — just enough to not start the day hungry. Fresh pastries, pancakes, muesli, homemade pastries, juices, and hot drinks. How delicious it is to enjoy fresh aromatic coffee with a croissant!
I really liked the rooms at Hotel Tiziano — here modernity coexists with antiquity. For example, the wooden beam ceilings look beautiful along with the modern decor in the form of vases and coffee tables. I enjoyed it! It's great that there are rooms for several people, and they are quite spacious. For instance, there is a bright and cozy four-person room of 30 square meters. It will suit us perfectly!
Hotel Tiziano — a great hotel for the price. Services include daily cleaning and a luggage storage room where you can leave your belongings before your train or after checking out and just stroll around the city until evening. I really liked this place!
Hotel Canaletto
- Distance from city center:
- 1.1 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Casino
- Golf Course
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Restaurant
- Air Conditioned
Hotel Canaletto — a hotel where the style of Baroque miraculously merges with modern classics. I love the design of the halls, the building itself, and the wonderful atmospheric rooms. The building is located 200 meters from the Rialto Bridge and a five-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
The hotel has two halls where you can have breakfast in a buffet format. Bright spaces in pleasant shades, where your appetite, I am sure, will come to life even more! The selection of breakfast dishes is perhaps one of the largest among others in the selection. A wide variety of meat and cheese platters, hot dishes, fresh pastries, toasts, muesli, and cereals. A good selection of hot and cold drinks. If I were to choose a place based solely on breakfast, I would choose Hotel Canaletto!
All rooms at Hotel Canaletto are designed in Venetian style. The views from the windows are also quite pleasant: overlooking the water canal or the square. Beautiful! If only there was a carnival taking place here, for which we are traveling to Venice… The rooms are also quite spacious, and I would choose the double deluxe.
Hotel Canaletto — an excellent hotel, though it will indeed be more expensive than the other hotels in the selection. I think that with such a location, as St. Mark's Square is within walking distance, and with wonderful breakfasts, it's worth spending a little more.
Hotel Firenze
- Distance from city center:
- 1.3 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Restaurant
- Safe-Deposit Box
- Elevator / Lift
The high ratings of Hotel Firenze immediately caught my attention. Then I looked at the map and was amazed — this hotel is located right on St. Mark's Square!
Beautifully arranged breakfasts in the format of a buffet are served in a special hall. You can also have a snack on the picturesque terrace overlooking Venice. It's very beautiful to me! At the buffet, you'll find aromatic pastries and desserts, hot appetizers, fresh vegetables, and fruits. The selection is good, and the main thing is that drinks are also available.
In the hotel, the rooms are in pleasant shades, which relaxes and creates a sense of home comfort. I liked the warm interiors and color combinations! An interesting feature is the Murano glass lamps in the rooms, and some even have balconies. I would love to stay in a room with a balcony!
All guests of Hotel Firenze note that there is top-notch service and excellent staff here. Upon check-in, a welcome drink will definitely be offered. This is great, and you won’t find it everywhere! But the main highlight remains the wonderful location.
Hotel Bartolomeo
- Distance from city center:
- 0.8 km
- Casino
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Mini Bar
- Safe-Deposit Box
- Elevator / Lift
Hotel Bartolomeo is located just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square, which is essentially where one should begin exploring Venice. I love the bright style and design of the hotel!
Breakfast in the format of a buffet is served every morning in a special hall. The homey atmosphere of the space, pleasant, warm light, and the serving area styled like a buffet allow you to enjoy the food in a home-like manner. I loved the decor! Here you can taste fresh pastries, delicious cakes, cheese and cold cuts, cereals, and various drinks. This is not the only choice! There are fruits as well, so we are unlikely to go hungry after breakfast at Hotel Bartolomeo.
Bright rooms with an incredibly cozy atmosphere allow you to relax after long walks in Venice. The interiors are conducive to rest! The only downside of the rooms is their size – the standard double room occupies 15-18 sq. m. However, Hotel Bartolomeo offers triple accommodation – we will take advantage of that.
Hotel Bartolomeo — an incredibly cozy and comfortable hotel, where everything is available for a pleasant stay. Among the services for guests — daily housekeeping and a luggage storage room. There is no bar or restaurant on the premises, but there are plenty nearby!
Elizabeth Waltz
Hotel Torino — a hotel in a historic building from the 16th century. Just a 3-minute walk away is St. Mark's Square with the cathedral of Venice. And, in general, it is easy to reach many attractions from the hotel using water transport!
Breakfasts are served as a "buffet" in a special continental-style dining area. I wouldn't say there's a wide selection of dishes, but there is baked goods, muesli, croissants, butters, jams, and other simple snacks. It's quite suitable for a morning snack! And if you wish, you can order breakfast to your room.
The rooms at Hotel Torino are very simple in content. There is, of course, one nuance — it's difficult to maintain an old building in good condition for many years. Nevertheless, all the rooms, decorated in baroque style, have televisions and good bathrooms. Here you can accommodate three, four, or even choose spacious apartments. I liked the selection!
A good hotel with a convenient location – everything is close by! The breakfast room is small but quite atmospheric in the baroque style, as is the building itself. There are, of course, some downsides related to the old building and the refurbishment of the rooms. But for this price, it is quite acceptable.
