In our family, there are two schoolchildren who are eager to enrich their knowledge. But reading books is too boring, especially during the holidays. Therefore, we decided to choose a type of vacation that would also be beneficial for intellectual development. Rome is ideal for this - an open-air museum, as many tourists call it. A very important aspect in choosing a hotel for us is the availability of rooms that will be comfortable for everyone and accommodate the whole family. And also 5 stars - we love to relax in comfort. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on November 08, 2024.

The story begins just beyond the walls of this hotel, and a piece of it can be seen from the room – the Trajan's Market Museum and the Trajan Forum are adjacent to the Roma Luxus Hotel.

For families

The hotel offers a spacious family room in a purely Italian style: bright contrasts, modern design, and a special detail – furniture. The area of the family rooms is 60 square meters, featuring two rooms, each with a large bed. An extra bed can be requested. This option suits us perfectly.

Location

Literally at every turn there are attractions. Besides the ones mentioned above, you will encounter the Forum of Augustus, the Capitoline Museums (which are beautiful both inside and outside), and the private Doria-Pamphili Gallery with a large collection of 17th-century Italian paintings. There are many ancient cathedrals around. I don’t even know how to manage to see all this beauty!

Meals

The cherry on top of the spacious rooms and convenient location is the breakfast made from local products that the hotel offers. There is also its own bistro here.

Services

The special package offered by the hotel for families came in very handy: a discount on the family room, early check-in and late check-out, breakfasts, a 15% discount on drinks, and gifts for children.

Disadvantages

Small size of bathrooms.

Advantages

Spacious rooms and a central location.

I can imagine how wonderful breakfast on the terrace of this hotel with a view of one of the main historical landmarks – the Colosseum – can be. Walking through the nearby streets is just a dream!

For families

Everything is great with the family rooms here: there are deluxe apartments with two bedrooms, additional beds in the form of sofas, and a small kitchenette. However, they are located in a separate building of the hotel, a 5-minute walk from the main one.

Location

We have already established that the Colosseum is located next to the hotel. But there are many other interesting things nearby. You can visit the Golden House of Nero – a huge palace and park complex, which is a 5-minute walk away. The Roman Forum is 7 minutes from here.

Dining

The hotel terrace is divided into two establishments: a restaurant and a bar. Both offer stunning views.

Disadvantages

The family apartments are located in a separate building.

Advantages

Stunning view of the Colosseum, large stylish rooms.

Hotel on bella strada – a beautiful little street in the center of Rome with ancient buildings, Italian cars bustling back and forth, and residents speaking loudly and beautifully in the wonderful language. A great place to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Rome!

For families

The Executive Suite has everything you need for families who want to relax in comfort: a large area (about 50 meters), two rooms, a comfortable bed, and the possibility of adding two extra beds. There is a small kitchenette to cook for yourself when you don't feel like going to the restaurant. The room is designed in a modern Art Deco style with Italian touches.

Location

Nearby is a landmark with a name that seemed to us very exotic for Italy – the Spanish Steps. This is a large beautiful staircase descending from the Pincio Hill to the Spanish Square. In general, there are just myriads of attractions nearby. There is also a creepy museum – the Capuchin Crypts. It might be interesting for older children, but we won't dare to go there.

A little more than 10 minutes will be needed to reach the Trevi Fountain – a place that occupies one of the top spots on my list of attractions.

Dining

Delicious Italian cuisine awaits at the Cadorin restaurant. Breakfast is also served in the form of a buffet, and it is already included in the price.

Services

The hotel has a spa center, free for guests.

Disadvantages

Some furniture in the rooms is outdated.

Advantages

Located in an old Italian building, there are family rooms, close to attractions and the metro.

The play on words in the name of this hotel embodies the ideal of hospitality of its owners. It signifies a beautiful historic building where everyone is greeted with the hospitality of a five-star hotel, tailored just for you. The hotel is run by a chef with multiple Michelin stars and his wife. This means we can expect not only hospitality but also exquisite dishes in the hotel restaurant.

For families

The option that suits us is the family two-room suite. We noticed an interesting detail that will be very useful – two sinks in the bathroom, so no one has to compete for the right to wash up first in the morning. For smaller families, there is an upgraded double room or a junior suite available.

Location

Near the hotel is the Piazza del Popolo square. Not far away is the Carlo Bilotti Museum of Modern Art, which is located in the large Villa Borghese park. The Lepanto metro station is also nearby, just a five-minute walk from the hotel.

Dining

Breakfasts are served at the hotel, which tourists call amazing.

In the restaurant, whose chef has been awarded a Michelin star multiple times, there are two halls. One is modern, designed in a modern style, while the other is in the style of an English living room, cozy and warm. Here, modern Italian dishes are served. There are options such as a vegan menu, gluten-free dishes, and even vegan salami.

Disadvantages

Tourists complain about "tired" rooms.

Advantages

Interesting hotel concept, luxurious restaurant on the premises.

A small snow-white building on a cobbled street, built in the style of the 1930s, – the Lord Byron hotel, where we found cozy family rooms.

For families

The family room has two separate rooms, and they look very spacious. In the Terrace suite, there is one room divided into two zones. They are the same size, but the second has a great advantage – a private terrace overlooking the Borghese Park. It would be wonderful to have breakfast or dinner here with the whole family!

Location

Fifteen minutes from here is the famous Via Vittorio Veneto. Nearby are the Spanish Steps and other attractions. Children will be interested in visiting the zoo, which is located in Villa Borghese park, just 5 minutes from the hotel. It will take about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest metro station.

Dining

The restaurant of the hotel Relais Le Jardin offers a conceptual cuisine with unique combinations. Here, visitors can expect not only gastronomic but also visual pleasure. The price of the rooms, as we like, already includes breakfast, meaning there will be no agonizing choice of a place that suits the whole family in the mornings.

Services

There are excursions for every taste - even sports runs through the iconic places of Rome!

Disadvantages

Many are upset by the lack of additional services such as a spa and a pool.

Advantages

Quiet area of Rome, spacious rooms, and breakfast.
