When it comes to treatment or any other medical issues, I try to choose the most comfortable accommodation nearby to protect myself from the additional worries of a long journey, an uncomfortable bed, or a noisy street. Of course, the most comfortable options are usually also the most expensive, which is not always suitable. Therefore, I decided to choose five optimal budget hotels in Paris located near the Saint-Louis Hospital. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on May 09, 2025.

- 2.5 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Mini Bar
- Safe-Deposit Box
- Currency Exchange
Crowne Plaza Paris Republique
- Distance from city center:
- 2.0 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- Garden
- WiFi
- Restaurant
- Air Conditioned
- Refrigerator
Crowne Plaza Paris Republique immediately captured my attention when I saw the 19th-century building with its picturesque facade. It somewhat resembles a hotel for business trips, as the interior is quite restrained, but the rooms are comfortable and the view of the city is wonderful. And most importantly, it is located not far from the Saint-Louis Hospital.
The walk to the hospital will take only 15 minutes, or you can reach it in 10 minutes by bus or 13 minutes by car. The distance is just 1 km, with no slopes or climbs. The metro is very close in case you need to travel to other areas of Paris. I love taking evening strolls, and there are cozy streets perfect for that here.
Although the building is old, it has been recently renovated inside, and everything is very clean, modern, and functioning well. I really love this combination: the 19th century on the outside, the 21st inside! In the reviews, breakfast is highly praised: a variety of pastries, croissants, fruits, eggs, bacon, pancakes with chocolate spread, orange juice. Such a breakfast can lift your spirits even on the gloomiest day! I highly recommend going for it.
What I didn’t like is that there are no slippers and bathrobes in the room. Yes, it’s not a five-star option, but I believe that at least slippers should be provided in any hotel, even the most budget-friendly one. After all, it’s a very small expense, but it adds several points to the coziness!
A hotel with a good room size for Paris, a delicious breakfast, and a great location. A very beautiful building, and the architecture and interiors really lift my spirits. Convenient for those who came for treatment: just a 15-minute walk or a few minutes by car, and you are already at the hospital.
Hotel Amoi Paris (ex.Grand Hotel du Prince Eugene - Prince Paris Hotels)
- Distance from city center:
- 2.0 km
- Bar / Lounge
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Safe-Deposit Box
- Coffee / Tea Maker
- Elevator / Lift
Hotel Amoi plays with colors and uses my favorite color combination: blue and yellow! The interior sets a bright and positive mood, although it doesn't look garish, but rather noble and deep. The entrance to the hotel is beautifully decorated with turquoise panels. Everything here is very elegant, but I especially liked the lobby area with a comfortable yellow sofa and a huge number of books.
The route to Saint-Louis is very pleasant, passing through the garden near the hospital. Nature always lifts the mood! The whole journey will take 15 minutes, covering a distance of 1 km, and it takes about the same time by car. The bus is a little faster, taking 12 minutes. If there's a possibility and desire, I would recommend walking. By the way, there are many restaurants nearby, but the street is quite quiet and clean.
I especially liked the lounge area in the lobby that I mentioned at the beginning. Also, there is a great sauna and a nice spa center here. If there are no contraindications, I recommend checking it out and spending a couple of hours there, but the sauna and steam room need to be booked in advance. Here, unlike the previous hotel, there are bathrobes in the rooms, and they also provide towels and toiletries. The interior is cozy in green, pink, and beige colors. As for the inconveniences, there is no refrigerator, and the room itself is very small. But I already mentioned that this is a typical story for Paris.
If a refrigerator is added to the room, it will be a wonderful, cozy, stylish, and budget hotel. So far, I like this option the most, and I haven't noticed any other drawbacks. It's just what you need to recover after medical procedures or while waiting for your appointment.
Le Citizen Hotel
- Distance from city center:
- 2.4 km
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Refrigerator
- Mini Bar
- Parking
- Safe-Deposit Box
I love small hotels where the staff knows each guest, and the guests greet each other in the mornings at breakfast. Le Citizen is just such a place, as it has only 12 rooms! From the higher floors, there is a very nice view of the canal and the drawbridge. It seems that this charming hotel is perfect for a stay.
The hotel is located just 8 minutes on foot, or 600 meters, from Saint-Louis, including through the garden of the hospital. The same amount of time by bus, and by car it’s a little faster – just 4 minutes. The building stands on the banks of the canal, and across the river is the Vilmen garden – Maza Wife Amini, a wonderful place for walks.
I liked the layout of the rooms; it's clear that a lot of thought has been put into the room and design. The space is small, but it is so well organized that a bigger one is not necessary. The hotel is in a beautiful yet very quiet place, so I can rest easy here. I know it’s very important to get a good night's sleep before visiting the hospital. Among the drawbacks, I noticed in the reviews that several people complained about the meager breakfast: just a croissant, orange juice, and coffee. This was not enough for those who are used to a British or American breakfast.
Very nice hotel in a modern style using natural materials, reminiscent of Scandinavian design. There are many restaurants and pubs in the area, but it is quiet at night, and there is no need to worry about safety. This option is more expensive than others in my selection, but if the budget is not critical, it is still very worthy.
Belta Hotel Residence
- Distance from city center:
- 2.4 km
- Free Wi-Fi
- WiFi
- Air Conditioned
- Parking
- Currency Exchange
- Elevator / Lift
- Hair Dryer
Finally, I decided to add a small family hotel to my selection. And here I noticed that the room sizes are large by Parisian standards! It's nice to have the opportunity to unpack your suitcase and hang up your clothes. This way, you settle in faster and start to feel at home in a new place.
The hotel is located across the canal from Saint-Louis Hospital, and this is one of those cases where walking is more convenient than driving, as public transport doesn't operate here at all. The walking distance is only 750 meters, or 11 minutes, but there will be a staircase because you need to cross the canal via a bridge. About 5 minutes of walking and you find yourself in the hospital garden. You can take a taxi, though the route is a detour and twice as long, but it will still take about 10 minutes. The area is nice, there are places to walk nearby, a picturesque canal and a park, but it is quiet at the same time.
Although the street itself is quiet, and the windows are soundproofed so that city noises do not interfere with the night’s sleep, the danger comes from unexpected sources: I read in the reviews about noise in the corridor. So it may be that it’s not the passersby who will disturb you, but the neighbors. Guests also mention a sparse breakfast and a cramped bathroom where tall or large people cannot turn around. Additionally, the only toiletries provided here are two packets of shampoo. I prefer places that care about the environment and provide large shampoo bottles (which can be hung on the wall, very convenient), or small reusable bottles that can be replenished. But packets are both insufficient and uneconomical. On the plus side, the price and location here are definitely advantages.
I am not completely thrilled with this hotel, but it has a number of undeniable advantages, among them a convenient location, it is very close to the Saint-Louis hospital. The staff tries to assist their guests and provide maximum care, which is also very nice. But this is not a place where you can spend a lot of time in the room – it's not very cozy and there isn't much to do.
There are many great hotels in Paris, but not all of them are located in the area needed when traveling for specific purposes. That's how it turned out this time, as I needed to select options specifically in the tenth arrondissement. It turned out quite well! At least three options I would consider for myself. But I liked Hotel Amoi Paris the most with its elegant interior and optimal distance to the Saint-Louis hospital.
Emma Thompson
This hotel can be found on some websites under the outdated name Holiday Inn, but it is now called NH Paris Gare de l'Est. It stands out with views of the cityscape, French balconies, and bright accents in the interior: blue, yellow, and purple colors are common here.
A bright and very charming hotel with a sunny atmosphere.
The easiest way to get to the Saint-Louis hospital from here is by car: the journey will take only 8 minutes and the distance is 1.5 kilometers. You can walk there in 16 minutes, but there will be a staircase; however, the path is quite pleasant and beautiful, passing through a canal and two parks. Alternatively, you can take the bus – it will take 17 minutes, but walking will require minimal effort. Perhaps, I would take a walk and see how convenient it is to get there, then I could book a taxi for the return trip. Or vice versa.
The hotel has rightfully taken the top spot in the selection: it is the perfect place to unwind and relax. For instance, you can order room service 24 hours a day, enjoy breakfast in a buffet format, and watch television in a spacious room. Bright and beautiful colors in the interior always lift my mood; looking at them, I gear up for positivity, and the views of Paris from the window are inspiring. I also liked the lobby bar, where I probably won't be sitting, but its stained glass windows look magnificent. The bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in beautiful bottles.
Great hotel for those who came for treatment or examination in Saint-Louis: the hospital is not far to walk, the food is tasty, and the staff tries to help and please in everything. I would definitely consider it for my next stay in the city.
