I learned about the island of Fiji from the brilliant movie "The Truman Show." I set a goal to visit this amazing place. I started looking for hotels with breakfast, as it is an extremely desirable point in all my travels. It often saves the budget and gives me the confidence that I won't go hungry due to resort prices. I carefully studied all reviews and ratings, and now I want to share a list of hotels with excellent morning meals. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on December 06, 2024.

The exceptional location of Navutu Stars Resort immediately captivated me. Staying at the only hotel on the island is a new experience for me. Here, deserted beaches, crystal-clear water, and the nature of Fiji, straight out of magazine pages, await.
I based my research on reviews when studying the breakfasts. If you are looking for healthy and delicious food, then this is definitely the place for you. Guests say that the local muffins are the best they have ever tried. And the fruit platter is beyond praise! By the way, it is sourced from local plantations, so the coconuts, papayas, passion fruits, and limes are as fresh as possible, picked from the tree just this morning. Sweet potatoes, pumpkins, and exotic root vegetables add vibrant colors to the dishes. The hotel purchases fruits and seafood from the locals, thereby helping the ecology and the island community. You will not only try local lobsters and crabs but also witness the transaction with the fishermen. They arrive on shore during breakfast.
After a hearty and fulfilling meal, I wouldn't mind spending some time actively. To start with, I could visit a deserted beach and swim in the crystal clear water. Then I can take snorkeling gear and have a little excursion exploring the oceanic fauna of Fiji. Perhaps I'll take a free kayak and paddle even further to explore the surroundings. It's funny that the hotel dogs jump onto the kayak and can swim along with you. For me, this is good news: I really love animals.
The Yasawa Island and Navutu Stars Resort — is what you need to familiarize yourself with the culture and customs of Fiji. The boutique hotel is small, and the staff becomes like family during your vacation. They provide exceptional hospitality and are always a step ahead of requests. True professionals will remember your name and needs. At a traditional Fijian evening, you will sit together as one big friendly family. Lots of songs, dances, and great food. I am particularly interested in attending the kava ceremony and visiting the local village with the school. All of this will bring you even closer to understanding the daily life of the locals. If you plan such a trip, don't forget to bring gifts — they will appreciate it.
Lomani Island Resort

I think I will only use my hotel room for sleeping. Here there are all the opportunities for a relaxing vacation in nature. I will eat local fruits and get vitamin C, sunbathe on a seven-kilometer private beach, and accumulate vitamin D. I will return home filled with health and happiness.
All hotel guests are offered a complimentary breakfast in a buffet format and one ready-made dish of choice. Available in unlimited amounts: fresh pastries and fruits, cold cuts and cheeses, toasts and cereals. Vegetarians will be pleased with grilled vegetables served with white bean hummus, roasted tomatoes, avocado with sesame, and poached eggs. Bread with a low glycemic index will also be available. The chefs will prepare eggs according to your recipe and accompany them with fried bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken sausages, or homemade cassava stew. Separate applause from guests is deserved for the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, crispy bacon, and ham. But I would order poached eggs with local spinach on a freshly baked croissant with "bernaise" sauce.
Only local ingredients are used for meal preparation. Like the previous hotel, Lomani Island Resort sources products from fishermen and farmers. The chefs combine Fijian and international cuisines to provide guests with a variety of gastronomic experiences. I will be able to attend a cooking masterclass to get even closer to Fijian cuisine. And an important addition: when booking, dinners can be added for an additional fee to the free breakfasts.
It is very valuable to me that the hotel loves nature and directs resources towards caring for it. The staff recycles plastic and encourages guests to do the same. Upon check-in, everyone is given a fabric bag for use on the premises. You will not see a cocktail straw in your drink. If necessary, one will be provided from eco-friendly materials. The coral reefs of Fiji are currently under great stress from ocean pollution. Lomani Island Resort creates coral nurseries throughout the bay, which are then transplanted onto the reefs themselves. Additionally, the hotel promotes the sterilization and feeding of cats on the island. These furry friends create a special atmosphere and protect against rodents.

At The Fiji Orchid — exclusive accommodation in one of six bungalows. Lush tropical vegetation surrounds this resort. Even the glass walls of the bathroom emphasize the proximity to nature.
Tropical fruits and vegetables are grown in their own gardens. Seafood is brought in from the Makuata province. Breakfast is served at Raymond's restaurant from 7 to 10 a.m. The chefs prepare dishes in a modern Fijian style, but base them on traditional recipes and use local ingredients, herbs, and spices. There are meals available for diabetics, vegetarians, and vegans. Guests have positive feedback about the meals; they seem quite filling. Breakfast can be enjoyed surrounded by orchids or you can request to have food packed to go, such as when you are heading to the airport or on excursions.
This resort offers very interesting activities: a tour of a Fijian village, a visit to a Hindu temple, a mud pool, the Sleeping Giant Garden, and shopping in the city. You can spend the whole day zip-lining. Such a tour includes entertainment at the waterfall and lunch. Sea cruise enthusiasts will appreciate the offerings from the hotel. They include buffet meals, unlimited drinks, equipment for exploring the underwater world, and Fijian cultural activities on board.
Special attention is paid to the cultivation of orchids in the tropical gardens of the resort. The history of this place is as follows: a Canadian actor was an avid gardener, and he loved Fiji for its climate and seclusion. Here he could relax without attracting the attention of the public. Now this place is a haven for those who wish to spend time away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the fragrance of blooming orchids.

I wanted to add to the list of hotels with included breakfasts and a more budget-friendly accommodation option. It is obviously simpler than the others and has only one star, but where else will I try homemade Fijian breakfasts?
Here, familiar dishes are served with local ingredients. Everything is very cozy and home-like. Eggs in various variations, banana muffins, donuts. The fruit plate is filled with beautifully cut fruits, gathered from the hotel garden. The appetizing pancakes with bananas and homemade coconut milk syrup, reminiscent of caramel, deserve special attention. If guests have any food intolerances, the chefs will prepare meals personally. Lunch and dinner can be ordered in advance and for an additional fee. The chef here is a true professional: he has worked at some well-known resorts. But the hotel also has a kitchen where guests can cook meals from local products themselves. There are no restaurants nearby! Salt Lake Lodge is a secluded place.
Information about traditional paid excursions in Fiji can be found separately. But it is better to spend time here peacefully, enjoying nature. You can sit on the shore, watching the tides, fishing, and then asking to have it cooked. Kayaks are available for free use to explore the surroundings. Evenings can be pleasantly spent on the terrace, looking at the stars in the clear sky. However, if you still prefer active recreation outside the hotel, you can book activities offered by the staff. A trip to Salt Lake is at the top of the recommendations.
The hotel's staff is considered a highlight, as they create a homely atmosphere. They carefully monitor the well-being of guests and maintain cleanliness in public areas. Thanks to them, the grounds become cozy and well-kept. The chef can prepare anything for you and also go boating with you. It's very heartwarming!

I chose Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa because it is filled with an atmosphere of relaxation and leisure. There are many communal spaces where you can spend time and relax after breakfast. I also liked the glass doors leading from the hotel room to the terrace. The tropical vegetation literally bursts into the room.
Breakfast in buffet style is served from 6:30 to 10:30 AM. On weekends, it lasts a little longer. The menu is very diverse. The chefs delight guests with fresh pastries, cakes, and homemade jam. They prepare pancakes with fillings and omelets with sides right in front of you. Here are the ingredients for making a salad with fresh greens — create a dish to your taste. Local tropical fruits and desserts made from them please the eye with their bright appearance. Healthy porridges, muesli, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and corn flakes are also available.
Experience the local and traditional customs of other countries when you try authentic cuisine at breakfast. Your journey to India will be fulfilled when you grab a plate of curry dishes. Fried okra with spices, papadam, puri, Aloo Chana rice, Dal soup, coconut chutney – sounds intriguing. Here they serve the most delicious masala chai. It consists of 7 spices that are roasted and mixed at home to achieve a magnificent flavor.
Local steamed buns, chili sauce, fried rice with vegetables, wok noodles. I love Chinese cuisine for its unique flavors. For desserts, they offer Sultan Lolo bun, purini, banana bread, and cinnamon sugar Babakua. Of course, I was intrigued by Vudi vakasoso — plantain prepared in a rich coconut cream sauce.
