In winter, we are planning a small trip to the capitals of European countries where we have not yet been. We will start with Hungary, then stop by Croatia, and finish in Slovenia. We have already chosen hotels almost everywhere, only the capital of Croatia – Zagreb – remains. I am looking forward to this trip with all my heart! In Zagreb, we decided to stay at a hotel with a view of Ban Jelačić Square. It was difficult, as there are not many hotels, but I was able to find three good options. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on December 06, 2024.

Met Boutique Hotel — an incredibly beautiful five-star hotel with warm, elegant interiors. It captivated me at first sight! The main thing is that the hotel is located right on Ban Jelačić Square.
I'll start by saying that the hotel has incredibly luxurious rooms in a modern style. Subdued shades, warm light, and wood are the keys to my heart. In such a place, it should be as cozy as possible! The rooms at Met Boutique Hotel provide literally everything you need – even toiletries and soft bathrobes. As for the views from the windows, they are wonderful! Large almost frameless windows offer an excellent view of the city and, most importantly, of Ban Jelačić Square. I chose a "Deluxe" room with a city view for myself.
5-star hotel where leisure is organized at the highest level - you can go to the restaurant, bar, or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. Don't want to leave your room? Then order food and drinks delivery. The food is definitely delicious, and breakfast is served in a buffet style. The staff is quite polite and will gladly help you book a transfer or store your luggage until your departure from the city.
Met Boutique Hotel — an excellent hotel in Zagreb, probably the best in the city. I like everything: from the amenities and service to the luxurious and modern rooms, where there is literally everything you need.

Amadria Park Hotel Capital — a hotel that fits into the concept of Zagreb. And I see it as the unity of various styles, especially vividly expressed in Ban Jelačić Square. From classicism and baroque to modernism!
In the rooms of Amadria Park Hotel Capital, you feel as if you are immersed in historical past. It's exactly what you want to see in a city mentioned as far back as the 11th century. And not only see but also live in it! Unique rooms with wood, tapestries, and interesting furnishings. In some places, there are even parquet floors! Accordingly, the windows are also wooden, and the views overlook the city, including the square of Ban Jelačić, which is just a 4-minute walk away. I have my eye on a room with a panoramic view of the historical part of the city.
The hotel features an incredibly luxurious restaurant that serves Mediterranean and Croatian cuisine, including local delicacies. I looked at photos from guests and my mouth watered; everything looks so delicious! Also, the Amadria Park Hotel Capital has an Art Nouveau-style bar, where I would happily go in an elegant dress to enjoy a glass of good wine. The staff is amazing, and the service is top-notch!
Amadria Park Hotel Capital — an incredible hotel that reflects the historical concept and various styles characteristic of Croatian Zagreb. Wood, massive fabrics, parquet, and many mesmerizing details. I would love to wake up every morning and look at the central streets of Zagreb!

Hotel Dubrovnik — a good modern hotel right in the center of Zagreb. I like to stay in a new country where everything is more or less clear: good service, there is a restaurant, and clean comfortable rooms. This hotel seems to be just that!
Once, I stayed in an apartment in Finnish Oulu with exactly the same layout of the common space - how I love such architecture! It reminds me of a factory building converted into an apartment house. It looks like that, given that the building housing the hotel was constructed in 1929. Now, all the rooms have been restored and done in a unified light style, where it will be comfortable and pleasant for every traveler. The windows are not big, which is typical of buildings from the early last century. Nevertheless, from the windows of the rooms that face the street, you can see Ban Jelačić Square. And that's exactly what we are looking for!
The hotel is nice and fully corresponds to its status of 4 stars. There is a lobby bar, gym, bar, and business center - a good option if you are traveling for work or, like us, working remotely. Of course, we are going on vacation, but sometimes orders catch up with us even there! On the premises of Hotel Dubrovnik, there is a restaurant where you can have lunch with Croatian and Italian cuisine. I haven't tried the first one yet!
Hotel Dubrovnik — a wonderful hotel in a great location, surrounded by the most important attractions of Zagreb. The square is a minute's walk from the hotel, and a side view of it opens from the windows.
