Oh, this Shanghai! I have a special relationship with China; I have always dreamed of visiting the Middle Kingdom. After all, my husband’s father is originally from there! The skyscrapers reaching high into the sky, historic temples, and narrow streets with tea houses harmoniously blend together. Shanghai is a city that never sleeps, and a warm pool in the hotel is a true oasis of calm and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the huge metropolis. I researched hotels with heated pools in Shanghai and left the coolest ones here! The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on December 06, 2024.

I liked this luxury hotel, as it stands out for its elegance and glamour thanks to its neoclassical style and architecture. There is also a beautiful pool and jacuzzi here.
There is a large heated indoor pool where you can confidently swim laps. The bottom is lined with beautiful mosaic, and the lamps on the ceiling cast a golden light. A jacuzzi adjoins the pool. The sauna and my favorite steam room are also open for guests here.
The Waldorf Astoria Spa is the perfect place for treatments that are unlike any others. Ancient Chinese techniques are used here.
The hotel is located on the Bund waterfront in two buildings: the Shanghai Club, built in 1911 in neoclassical style, and a modern tower that rises behind it. It is only a 5-minute drive to the bustling shopping street Nanjing Road or the Yu Garden covering 40,000 square meters, and 10 minutes to People's Square. The international Hongqiao Airport is 15 km away.
There are a total of 6 restaurants and bars here. I would visit them all! At Waldorf Astoria's Pelham's restaurant, they serve modern French cuisine, while at the award-winning Long bar with stunning river views, you can order various drinks and snacks.
You will also surely enjoy the charm of old and new Shanghai at the Wai King Kok restaurant, which serves Chinese delicacies.

I looked at the photos of the landscape pool, which offers stunning views of Shanghai, and fell in love with this hotel! Plus, the hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing!
On the 21st floor, there is a long and seemingly endless covered infinity pool with panoramic windows. When you swim in it, it feels like you are "floating" high in the air. The sparkling city views of the Lujiazui area are mesmerizing, especially in the evening hours. The heated pool is open until 10 PM.
The bottom is tiled in brown and orange shades, as are the marble edges, giving it a very stylish look.
A full range of services for the relaxation of your body and soul can be found at the FLARE SPA center. The treatment rooms include 2 luxurious VIP suites with a steam room, sauna, tropical shower, and jacuzzi for two. How romantic!
In just a few minutes, you will reach the “Dongo Dung Chun” metro station. Also, near the hotel, there is the Yuyuan Garden, Lujiazui (round pedestrian bridge), and the Bund. By the way, located 600 meters from the hotel are the "Oriental Pearl" tower and an impressive aquarium. The train station is 8 km away, and Hongqiao International Airport is 18 km away.
Here you can use a car for free to travel to various attractions in Shanghai.
On the premises, Shàng-Xí is open – a stylish restaurant serving Cantonese (southern China) cuisine with a menu and dim sum (small dishes for tea). The establishment is divided into 5 rooms, each decorated and named after a stone: pearl, amber, purple jade, agate, and jadeite.
To grab some authentic Italian cuisine, visit the Camelia restaurant. You can sit both indoors and outdoors. In the Mi Teppanyaki and Sushi Lounge, you can order Japanese-style cocktails and fresh sushi and sashimi.

This is the first luxury urban resort hotel in downtown Shanghai, complete with a scenic pool. The hotel made it to the top 20 hotels in China in 2022. It's interesting to take a closer look at it!
There is an indoor landscaped heated pool measuring 25 m in length and 8 m in width. It operates from 6 am to 11 pm. The pool features huge floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing the morning sun to beautifully illuminate the water's surface. Thanks to the pool's design, which is located close to the windows, the Jin'an Park is clearly visible while swimming.
The water shimmers with a greenish jade hue – it is no coincidence that the hotel’s name translates to this beautiful stone.
The hotel also features China’s first UR spa club, equipped with relaxation shower cabins, microbubble, and hydro massage baths. Guests can spend a whole day here, surrendering themselves to the care of local “fairies” for wellness rituals.
Located in the city center – between Nanjing West Road and Yanan Road. Nearby is the multifunctional complex Park Place, which includes an international class "A" office tower and Réel – a large shopping mall.
The PHÉNIX restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and the Diamond award in 2024. It is located on the 2nd floor with views of Jinan Park and offers French cuisine dishes made from seasonal natural ingredients.
You can grab a snack at the bar, which measures 32 meters in length - that’s quite unusual! In the summer, you are welcome to the open terrace covering 135 square meters.

This 5-star hotel definitely deserves to be in my ranking, as it has a warm outdoor pool. There are not many hotels like this in Shanghai.
On the roof of the hotel is a warm seasonal pool heated to 28 degrees. Part of its bottom is tiled in blue and red colors - it looks very unusual. In the evenings, the water shimmers with colorful lights in the illumination of the lights of Shanghai. The promenade of the Huangpu River, buildings with 1920s architecture, and futuristic skyscrapers - all this will open up to your gaze.
The spa center features a small indoor pool with a heated jacuzzi, as well as a classic set for relaxation: sauna, steam room, and facial and body treatments.
The hotel is located on the bustling North Embankment, not far from popular attractions: 800 m from the 1933 Old Millfun, a 5-10 minute walk from the Waibaidu Bridge, Chenghuang Miao Temple, and People's Square. Want to go shopping? It takes 10 minutes to get to the Xintiandi shopping and entertainment area.
Only 200 m to the International Cruise Terminal Metro Station (Line 12), while the Hongqiao International Airport is a 35-minute drive away.
Try dishes in any of the 5 restaurants and bars, including The Kitchen Table. This is a modern bistro in New York style. YEN serves dishes of modern Jiangnan and Cantonese cuisines combined with some Shanghai delicacies.
LIQUID is a cocktail bar in the style of the Golden Age, while WOOBAR® is a bar + playground featuring world-renowned DJs.

This hotel is definitely worth our attention. Modern design, bright colors, and a scenic heated pool – a great place for a relaxing stay without unnecessary glamour and pomp.
There is an indoor heated pool that operates from 10 AM to 10 PM. The room is decorated in a modern style with bright accents: blue and pink walls, multicolored loungers. But the main highlight is the huge panoramic window-walls, through which an amazing view of Shanghai opens up. The pool is almost adjacent to the glass, so you can enjoy the views right from the water.
The fitness club, by the way, is decorated with various bright colors, just like the pool.
The hotel is located in the center of Shanghai – not far from the famous Yuyuan Garden and the Old City, just a few minutes' walk from the Bund and Xintiandi.
On the 17th floor, guests will find a cozy club lounge with a magnificent view of the cityscape. In the evening, you can dine in one of the restaurants. YU GARDEN serves international cuisine, YU SUSHI offers Japanese dishes, and CHINA BISTRO specializes in traditional Chinese food. The Yu Gourmet cafe provides a wide selection of homemade pastries, chocolate, cakes, and delicious ice cream.

Designed in an art-deco style, this hotel with an awesome spa is located in a high-rise tower, offering guests stunning views of the Bund promenade, the Huangpu River, and the Oriental Pearl Tower.
On the 55th floor of the hotel, there is a 1500 sq. m wellness SPA center featuring a 24-hour fitness center, dry and steam saunas, and, of course, an indoor heated pool.
Imagine, large floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, noble gray marble, walls in light beige-gray tones, velvet loungers, a bright blue pattern of large leaves at the bottom of the pool. Beautiful, isn't it?! In the evenings, the pool transforms. The color of the sky with its various shades (from purple to blue) seems to fill the pool, giving it a beautiful blue glow.
The hotel is located on the upper floors of a 58-story tower in Lujiazui, in the heart of Shanghai's shopping district. The famous aquarium, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the large Shanghai IFC Mall – all of this awaits you in this area.
Want to feel like an important person? Then check into rooms with access to a unique club lounge area, where you will be offered 5 complimentary culinary and beverage presentations daily.
Wherever you go: to the Chinese restaurant with creative dishes and delicacies Jin Xuan (with 1 Michelin star) or to the highest bar in Shanghai, Flair – it will be delicious everywhere! Do you love pasta and seafood? Then you will definitely enjoy the Italian establishment Scene.

The concept of this hotel is "urban oasis," reflecting the fusion with nature amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life in Shanghai. The pool and the fantastic SPA fully embody this philosophy.
There is a magnificent 25-meter heated indoor swimming pool. The space is decorated in cool gray tones and features soft lighting, creating a unique atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation.
The hotel also has a sauna, steam room, and a separate relaxation and recovery room, which will undoubtedly help relieve tension. For active guests, there is a state-of-the-art fitness studio and a yoga studio for individual sessions.
The hotel is located in the Jing'an district, next to the Lifestyle retail mall - very convenient for shopping enthusiasts. Taiping Lake is 1 km away, a 5-minute drive to People's Square and 10 minutes to Jing'an Temple, as well as the Bund. In just 2-3 minutes, you can reach the interesting Jing'an Sculpture Park, as well as the West Nanjing Road metro station.
Enjoy an exquisite dinner of fine Italian cuisine at La Scala restaurant or relax at the Thai restaurant URBAN in the setting of a lush green garden. The place is very atmospheric. Fragrant brewed coffee with pastries is served at Beans & Grapes.

Another stunning hotel at a height (located between the 30th and 59th floors), which offers guests special conditions for the most enjoyable stay.
A large 25-meter indoor heated pool awaits you, open from 6 AM to 11 PM! During the day, natural light streams in through the windows and ceiling glass. In the evening, lamps are turned on, casting brightly golden glimmers on the blue water. Beautiful!
The local SPA center is a place where you will definitely find tranquility and well-being, especially if you try massages and other ancient Chinese treatments.
The hotel is located in the business district of Jinan and is part of the Jinan Kerry tourist center, covering an area of 450,000 sq. m. Nearby, there is a whole network of public transport stops, including metro lines 2 and 7. You can easily walk to the Jing'an Temple and the famous shopping street Nanjing Road.
Here, 6 restaurants and bars are open for guests (including two Michelin-recommended restaurants). Guests especially advise visiting the Chinese establishment Summer Palace. Dishes of modern European and international cuisines are served at "Calypso" and the cafe "Liang." In the cozy spot Tsuru, you can taste Japanese delicacies.

This luxurious hotel caught my attention with its unusual glamorous design and two swimming pools, one of which is shaped like a perfect pentagon!
The heated indoor Starry Sky swimming pool, 20 meters long, is located on the 3rd floor, along with the sauna and steam room. The floor-to-ceiling window design allows guests to enjoy stunning views of the Vainty waterfront while swimming.
During the day, the pool is illuminated by sunlight, and for even more comfortable relaxation, it is equipped with heated sun loungers. The bottom of the pool is adorned with a beautiful pattern of white flowers. In the evenings, the ceiling lights up with countless stars, fully justifying its name “Starry Sky”.
On the 4th floor, there is a spa center consisting of treatment rooms, a gym, and a compact pentagon-shaped pool, finished with black marble. It is also located under the “starry sky”.
The hotel is located at 188 Beisuzhou Road, surrounded by the authentic and rich history of Shanghai, specifically one and a half kilometers from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. I recommend taking a stroll about 2 km to Old Town (Nanshi) and to the 88-story Jin Mao Tower.
The dining halls of the restaurants are decorated in the style of a clock tower, featuring bold and avant-garde design reminiscent of futurism. MANSION ON ONE serves classic Cantonese and Shanghai cuisine, while CAFÉ BELLAGIO and LAGO serve Italian cuisine.
No matter which country I go to, I truly enjoy staying in a hotel with an infinity pool. In my selection, it is the glamorous Regent Shanghai Pudong hotel. Swimming 21 floors up with floor-to-ceiling windows and seemingly "in the air" – just the thought of it takes my breath away. The choice is made!

According to many guests, this is an incredible hotel with stunning service and attention to detail. It is absolutely luxurious in every way. I think that says it all!
The indoor heated pool amazed my imagination, as it is even equipped with a fireplace in Art Deco style. The pool is 25 m long and 7.5 m wide, and the bottom is tiled with a rich dark blue, light green, and white colors in the form of a beautiful pattern. In the summer, you can step out onto the open sunny terrace with views of the lush green garden.
There are other pleasant amenities here, such as a steam room, sauna, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. After swimming, you can relax in the Peninsula spa, designed in an unusual 1930s Art Deco style.
Located in the city center – on the historic Waitan waterfront, 26 km from Pudong International Airport and 16 km from Hong Qiao Airport. It takes only about 5 minutes to walk to the shopping area on pedestrian East Nanjing Road.
There are several restaurants (and bars) on the premises, but Sir Elly's is definitely not to be missed. It has been awarded one Michelin star, and the windows offer a breathtaking view of the Waitan embankment and the Pudong cityscape. Here, the chefs prepare dishes of modern European cuisine.
Love Chinese food? Then you need to visit Yilong Court. And at the cafe on the poolside terrace, try the natural dishes – healthy and nutritious, with low fat and cholesterol content.
