As the hotel owner Robert Robertsson explained, the interesting idea was inspired by one of the tourists. At that time, Robert was planning trips around Iceland for travelers. One day, a client called him, who, while waiting for the northern lights, climbed a mountain and was freezing: "Robert, this is madness. I'm going to freeze to death here (he probably didn't dress warmly enough). Do you know of any hotel where I can just lie in a warm bed and watch the northern lights through a glass ceiling?"

And Robertsson decided to open such a hotel.

In the bubble hotel, it's warm and cozy, making it one of the best options for watching the northern lights in comfort. The rooms are well heated, and nearby are a kitchen and a bathroom.

The 5 Million Star Hotel is located about an hour's drive from Reykjavik. The cost of one night under the stars ranges from 250 to 300 dollars.
