In Costa Rica, there is one of the most whimsical hotels in the world!

In a small South American country, Costa Rica, two-thirds of the territory is occupied by tropical forests, which boast truly unique flora and fauna.
Couple Erika and Matt Hogan fell in love with this place and decided to settle here permanently. Thus, an entire treehouse community called "Finca Bellavista" was born.
It consists of real treehouses.

The balcony offers a view of the forest and mountains.

Once, a husband and wife acquired 600 acres of forest intended for logging. They preserved invaluable trees and began to arrange housing in a way that would not harm the plants.

Everything inside the houses is made from eco-friendly materials and, of course, mosquito nets are hung everywhere, which are essential in the tropics.

A standard living room. Instead of a table — an antique chest.

You can move from one house to another via a suspension bridge.

There are places to ride with the wind.

Several families live here permanently. In the photo — a complex of shared houses: a dining room, bathrooms, fire rings. Electricity is only connected here.

Each resident grows their own vegetables and fruits. The guest houses also have little gardens, and anyone can take care of the plants.

Local doves.

The monkeys want to eat too, we have to share!
