The legendary hotel chain Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts launched its second project “The Taste of Waldorf Astoria” in collaboration with the James Beard Foundation — one of the leading culinary organizations in the USA. The search for the legendary taste resumed in the fall of 2015, featuring five young chefs who became semifinalists for the James Beard Award, and five esteemed maestros who are responsible for the cuisine at luxurious Waldorf Astoria hotels in Amsterdam, New Orleans, Beijing, Jerusalem, and Orlando.

The winners of the finals, which took place recently in New York, were chef Benoit Charchi from Waldorf Astoria Beijing and his young colleague Eric Bruner-Yang. Their created dish — Jing Roll — will now be featured on the menus of all 25 Waldorf Astoria hotels worldwide, alongside last year's winning celery risotto a la Waldorf, as well as the world-famous Eggs Benedict, Red Velvet Cake, and Waldorf Salad, which were originally created in the kitchen of the New York Waldorf Astoria hotel.
