The travel plan for next year is almost complete. But I managed to find a place in Austria, because that’s where my friend invited me. In February, we are flying to Vienna for her birthday. She prefers to stay only in 5-star hotels and entrusted the choice to me. Moreover, a breakfast is a mandatory requirement. Well, I had an important task in front of me, but I was able to handle it. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 18, 2025.

Elegance and glamour of the 19th century in a modern interpretation. The Amauris boutique hotel is located in the historic center of Vienna on Ringstrasse Boulevard. Just 200 meters away - and you can enjoy the spectacle at the State Opera House. All the rich and renowned culture of Vienna is at your fingertips.

Breakfast

Breakfast from the menu is served at the Amauris Vienna restaurant from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. I have reviewed it and am ready to tell you about it. They offer a wide selection of coffee and tea among the drinks. There is also hot chocolate. Those who want to recharge with vitamins at the start of the day should order fresh-squeezed juice or a fruit smoothie. But I believe that a glass of prosecco or rosé in the morning is the best way to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of a long-awaited vacation.

I was attracted to items like avocado toast or brioche with salmon and poached egg. In addition, there are six more egg dish options in various variations. And that's not all! Tomatoes with stracciatella and pesto sauce, grilled vegetables with hummus, quinoa salad, beef tartare with truffle mayonnaise, mango and shrimp cocktail. Sounds wonderful! There are also desserts, muesli, and much more.

Sports and recreation

I am planning a trip to Austria in winter, so I am looking for activities to do at the hotel in advance in case I have time after visiting the opera and museums. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the spa center. Guests are offered massages, cosmetic treatments, a steam room with aromatherapy, a Finnish sauna, and an ice fountain. You can swim in a relaxed atmosphere in the pool with a counter-current system under a glass roof. To maintain physical fitness, there is a modern gym with free weights, strength and cardio machines.

I fell in love with the design of this hotel! This is exactly how I imagined classic Austrian interiors. The rooms are decorated with antiques and paintings by famous artists.

Breakfast

I can't stop admiring the interiors of this place. This time I am absolutely delighted with the hall where breakfast is served. These are truly ballrooms, as if I were at a formal dinner with royal guests. Breakfast hours are from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. One can stay for breakfast for no more than 2 hours to avoid overcrowding.

A good morning calls for a good breakfast. This is exactly what the Sacher Hotel offers. A buffet and menu orders. In addition, there is a complete abundance of dishes to suit every taste. For example, a station with fresh pastries, where you can cut your own bread and toast it in the toaster. Or a station with cereals, granola, and toppings such as berries and nuts. I recommend finishing breakfast with a piece of the famous Sacher cake or a Viennese strudel.

Hotel rooms

I will not leave here until I examine every detail of the interior. I am no longer worried if bad weather catches me in Vienna, I will gladly stay in my hotel room for a whole day! After all, they here are the embodiment of comfort and elegance. Good sound insulation, a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep, a wonderful marble bathroom. The staff performs quality cleaning, so it is very clean here.

Regardless of the type of room you choose, a basket of fresh fruit and flowers will be waiting for you, and if it's your birthday, there will also be a cake. Special service packages are prepared for the signature and presidential suites, which you should inquire about if you decide to choose such categories of rooms. For example, the package for the signature suite includes: champagne in the room, excursions of your choice, a sweet surprise, a mini-bar with drinks, free transfer, and 24-hour concierge services.

I liked absolutely everything about this hotel: free breakfasts, location, stylish interior, excellent service. You know, when you look at such a grand building from the outside, it seems that classic interiors are waiting for you inside. But no: modern paintings and decor give this place a unique touch, and sometimes even amuse.

Breakfast

On weekdays, breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:30 AM. On weekends, you can sleep in and are invited to the table from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. An exquisite buffet, complemented by a glass of champagne and the option to choose one of five dishes from the menu, as well as daily special offers. And all of this is free. Some dishes, such as cheese, rice pudding, and Bircher muesli, are arranged in portioned plates. This is done to reduce food waste, as the hotel supports sustainability.

In addition, they serve eggs in various cooking styles and fresh pastries. Smoothies and freshly squeezed juices deserve special praise. If you're still feeling a bit sleepy, you can order delicious homemade cantucci to your hotel room. This service is also free.

Hotel Features

It is in this hotel that the longest pool in Vienna is located! Its length is 20 meters, and the temperature is 27 degrees. Perfect for keeping in shape after a hearty breakfast. The spa area, three saunas, and steam room also delight guests immensely. You can relax and have a heartfelt conversation in the lovely bar with a wide selection of champagne and other drinks. It also often receives positive reviews from guests. All rooms and public areas are kept impeccably clean. The care products have a pleasant scent and are of high quality.

Luxury hotel with a rich history in the center of Vienna on the Ringstrasse. It has been around for 150 years! The significance of a bygone era is emphasized by antique interior items, silk wallpapers, and a style that is preserved with each restoration. Even the modern flat-screen television is framed in an ornate frame.

Breakfast

The Imperial Cafe is a historic landmark in Vienna. It is here that hotel guests have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful breakfast. It is served in a buffet format and from a menu from 7:00 to 11:00 AM. Vienna is famous around the world for its desserts, and the Imperial Cafe is known for the cake named after it. Try it, and this taste you will never forget! And here you will find the best coffee, cheeses, smoked meats, caviar, champagne, and fresh strawberries, Eggs Benedict, and pancakes. You can ask the chef to prepare French toast, take a cup of tea, add fresh fruits to your plate, and head to the outdoor terrace. It is so pleasant to watch the passersby and admire Vienna from here.

Imperial cake

I want to tell you about the famous local dessert that you must try and buy as a gift for home – the imperial cake. There is a legend that it was made by a chef's apprentice for the opening of the hotel in 1873 in honor of Emperor Franz Joseph the First. I do not know if the original recipe has been preserved, but it is here, in the homeland of the imperial cake, that you can enjoy its exquisite taste. The chocolate glaze complements the tart almond, while the combination of chocolate cream and marzipan affects every taste bud, creating a harmony of flavor.

On the banks of the Danau Canal stands a modern hotel designed by the famous architect Jean Nouvel. The panoramic windows offer a stunning view of Vienna, and the center is just a few steps away.

Breakfast

The restaurant on the 18th floor, where breakfast is served, offers the best views of Vienna possible. This place is especially beautiful at dawn. In the evening, it's pleasant to watch the lights of the night city while sipping a glass of champagne. The quality of the breakfasts is as impressive as the views from the window. A buffet and the option to choose dishes from the menu. If you included breakfast in your stay, just disregard the listed prices. Hot egg dishes are offered here, such as shakshuka, scrambled eggs, Benedict, and poached eggs. There are also meats and cheeses from regional producers, Viennese catfish, and salmon trout.

Healthy breakfasts and sweets: organic yogurt with oatmeal, chocolate muesli with coconut flakes, homemade waffles, pancakes, and cottage cheese balls. Milk can be replaced with soy yogurt and milk. Of course, this is far from everything that is offered for vegans. For example, they can have an omelet with truffle mushrooms and toasted bread.

Hotel Features

I would describe the hotel's interior as futuristic. It is definitely the most unusual place on my list. The rooms are minimalist, done in white and gray colors. This is designed to make the view from the window of beautiful Vienna the focal point. Imagine: you are woken up by the morning sun's rays, you open your eyes, and your mood lifts at the sight of St. Stephen's Cathedral, the canal, spires, and green parks of Vienna. If desired, the windows can be closed with shutters.

Bathrooms have no doors, but instead feature a retractable screen. I want to come and check if it's convenient, but the solution is interesting. Each room has a capsule coffee machine and the option to make tea. But food from the restaurant will also be brought quite quickly. The ceilings in the public spaces impress with their uniqueness. They are a kind of large video projectors with abstract images. Floor-to-ceiling windows add air and light to the rooms and provide an unparalleled view.

The Andaz Vienna hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the Belvedere Palace. Some rooms, and especially the rooftop bar, offer a magnificent view of the palace, which is surrounded by greenery. I was there during my last trip and strolled through the Botanical Garden. I would be happy to visit this wonderful place again.

Breakfast

On weekdays, breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, and on Saturday and Sunday until 12:00 PM. Guests are offered dishes in a buffet format and from a menu. The time allows for a longer enjoyment of breakfast. Despite the number of guests, the staff maintains politeness and quickly handles orders. The tables are filled with a wide variety of dishes, including vegan and gluten-free options.

Here, they offer fresh eggs with various fillers and in various cooking styles, including my favorite avocado toast. One can grab a vitamin-packed plate of granola with fruits, nuts, and seeds. Or easily snack on waffles with maple syrup, a croissant with butter, or chia pudding. The snacks are also diverse: from a cheese platter with nuts and grapes to smoked salmon with lemon and capers. Additionally, guests can enjoy the best Viennese coffee here.

Hotel features

The building is located away from the historical center, which can be reached by a pleasant walk or a quick drive. Nearby, there is a train station, public transport stops, a contemporary art museum, and the picturesque Swiss Garden park. The good news is that the park has designated areas for walks, and the hotel allows dogs. At Andaz Vienna, they are loved and pampered with the Very Important Dog package, which includes a treat, a cozy bed, and a bowl. Dogs are allowed to stay with their owners in the lobby bar, lounge, restaurant Eugen21, and the rooftop bar Aurora. They must be leashed at all times throughout the property.

The elegant hotel is located in a historic building in the center of Vienna. Upon entering the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof, you feel like royalty. The friendly greeting and the helpfulness of the staff, always ready to assist in any situation, are particularly pleasant.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant from 6:30 to 10:30 AM on weekdays. On Saturday and Sunday – from 7:00 to 12:00 PM. Breakfast is especially enjoyable with pleasant music and a glass of sparkling wine. The buffets even offer Japanese dumplings, gyoza, made of very thin dough with vegetables. There is a good selection of pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, and jams. There is a separate station for eggs, so you can prepare them to your liking with your favorite fillings. There will also be plant-based milk for coffee.

However, breakfast has its drawbacks. In the restaurant where it is served, some seating areas are designated only for large groups. Because of this, it’s difficult to find a free table during peak times, and those who arrive alone have to join other people. Additionally, there are few fresh vegetables, only those that are grilled. Perhaps this depends on the season.

Advantages and disadvantages

The hotel recently underwent renovation, with the interiors updated by a Vienna-based design studio. Now, it features well-equipped, modern, and stylish rooms and common areas. I was particularly fond of the room with skylights in the sleeping area and bathroom. Very romantic! Being in the city center, to avoid urban noise, choose rooms with courtyard views and on higher floors. Guests complain that bottles of water are not replenished after being emptied. Rooms should be checked for cleanliness and comfort upon arrival. If there are available rooms, the staff is accommodating and will relocate guests to another room.
